i was meaning in the description (like the advert)

are you going to elaborate?

go and ask p-torque if they are legal you believe anything he says right?

ds2500 pads are a non legal race pad. would you like me to spell that out for you? or is that elaborate enough for een the most simple of minded?

So what makes the DS2500 pads non road legal then?

If they were not road legal I'm sure Bill would'nt sell them as being so.

Technically they are not road legal - they were never tested for road use as the were designed for the track. The friction coefficient of these pads far exceeds that of road pads; they are superior to many others in all ways; however they do not have to correct stamp to be road legal - that said, I use them and so do many others!

btw, whats with the attitude chispadete?

if you run them its highly unlikely the police or VOSA would notice them as the would have to strip down your front brakes and know what they are looking for

I see you are an "expert" on such matters

ds2500/ds3000 exceed reg90 as they exceed 15% friction coefficient - yep.
better than oe pads in that respect by definition

and as such they come clearly boxed for their use to cover.

copying cd's and downloading mp3's and films from torrent sites is illegal .... and 1000's of people do it.. go figure..

modified cars without being fully declared are also common

wanting upgrade pads for your car, you have to look beyond reg90 pads

you have a choice to use them or not.. if no better than 15% braking is good enough then fine.. but people want more

reg90 is clear.
ds2500/ds3000 exceed it. simple fact

who am I? Just a normal chap asking why you have come on here with such an attitude problem! There are two ways to approach things; one being giving advice and enlightening us all with your knowledge in a FRIENDLY and POLITE manner - the other being the approach you choose. But being "the one" I'm sure you must be correct in everything you say..

apologies to the OP for clogging up your readers ride.

Most people come on this forum to chat with like-minded, friendly people and swap advise and experiences from modding their cars. We are all adults so we can make up our own minds when deciding to do a mod to our cars or not! An attitude like this has no place on this forum. You can put your point across without resorting to calling people names or just being rude. Just chill out.

your attitude and tone as reading this, sux.. calling members "idiots" is not called for. :ban:

illegal to use on the road?
I dont think so...

illegal to claim they are road replacement pads, yes.. they are not road pads but something better.

I personally put performance over E number..
Thats the important aspect when it comes to brakes..
Reg90 pads used in anger, fade to hell, and probably cause of accident vs a pad which is suited to the harder use.. Its a no brainer to me regardless of EU bullshit regs, which stupidly put the + on the 15% number..

and as I said previously, there are more EU regs being added to the BS..... all to the detriment of a whole aftermarket industry, and for what.??

Think us lucky we're not yet like mainland europe where you are not allowed to modify anything. Now thats a place I would'nt want to be. This is an enthusiasts forum, wher modding is inherant. It will be a sad day when this happens

I've heard they are good disks. I know a few people using them and they seem chuffed to bits with them!

Thats a smart looking Ibiza

Thanks :)

if you run them its highly unlikely the police or VOSA would notice them as the would have to strip down your front brakes and know what they are looking for

To be honest, I dont think the police are gonna be fining/chasing me for having brakes that are "too good." Can you have too much braking power? i dont think so!

says on the box for the ds's for race use only  thats good enough for me:D

haha! I like your attitude! :D

Thanks for clearing that up Bill! It's quite interesting to learn these things, shame it's nearly always through arguments.

So these pads aren't road legal because they are too good for road use? :cartman:

ps. Sorry Ash for going off topic mate.

No probs dude.

i do believe this is a readers ride thread ?

Can we keep it on topic please

thankyou

Thanks fella - my thread is the worst for going off topic, yet it's never me that takes it off topic!

Thanks fella - really appreciate that. I think you know the limits though so delete the ones that need deleting. As long as things dont get childish, I dont mind debates as long as there is reason and they are sensible and grown up discussions with no digs at anyone made. After all, we all learn through debates and learning new things from others.

I think as long as you keep your beady eye on it, we should be fine. Thanks though! :)
