I've done 130 miles since I last filled up, and it's showing 580 to empty.... :D

(...and yes, I did vent)

Where's this vent thingy? I had a look last time filling up and never saw anything to press.

I put £50ish in and a splash of millers. I do 90 miles a day and the trip computer says 54-55mpg I will get 550 to 600 miles out of that.

If I drive normally with a bit of a blast with a £50 tank i'll get 450-490ish.

All from a 200BHP car!! Really cant complain!! There is a definately technique to drive economically though. 60-65 on the motorway is your max unfortunately. Try and keep the car under 2k RPM. I know this will be different on the other diesels as the cupra has different gearing.

I had a quick look today when filling up, just before the green plastic bit, on the right side it's a black button in the black surrounding, hard to describe but I think it's that

When you press against it you will hear a hiss.

Very usefull trick to know.

Wouldn't do it too much if the weather is baking though.

No green bit on my filler. Is it inside the filler? I see a wee metal pipe that moves back and forth.

Is that in a PD130? Is it standard or any mods with that? I'm getting less then half that and I hardly ever floor it. I'll show this thread to seat on my I phone on Tuesday.

PD130 remapped to 180bhp with panel filter. we done 8laps (13miles a lap) and got a record low 23.4 mpg after. but still got half decent fuel consupumtion

That's what I'm getting from normal town driving 24 mpg in my standard PD130. SEAT better sort this out or Mr Arnold Clark can take his car back! I'll be asking for free fuel for the next 2 months to make up for it.

is yours a pd130....if so somrthing is really wrong. You should be getting 50mpg at least for a trip and about 400-500 miles from a tank if not more.

I dont usually hang about or drive incredabiliy carefully and i get 55-63mpg on average 16 mile trip..and my overall mpg for the tank is usually about 56-60
