:My Dad drove mine to work and back for a week, isn't really a slow driver, driving from Newbury to Marlborough (mixture of town and B road), managed to get 54MPG average..

you don't need to drive like a Rover driver to be economical, keep going the same speed you are now, just keep the revs lower, smooth gear changes, avoid unecessary braking (use engine braking) etc.. makes a HUGE difference! :D

defo and corsa seat ibiza are pretty original what you going to do to yours ? doing any mods ?

Same reason I got an mine for a first car as well, all my mates in their corsas and me in something completely different, does annoy me though sometimes when I tell people what i've got and they're like what's that? ........:wtf:

It does really help if you don't have anything stupidly heavy in the back as well for fuel economy. Removing rear wiper+motor... weight saving for pros :)

Right that's it I'm going diesel next time

hahaha,

that is one big advantage with it..usually get between 430-500 from a tank and thats driving normally (in that not ragging it at every traffic light but also not crusing at 30 in national speed limits)..but going to devon next week so will see what i get if i drive 70mph for a long journey..
