how am i wrong diesels arent ever gunna be faster than petrol tho like, sorry the day i see a diesel doing same performance as what alot of people class a true performance car, my mates owns a 2002 BMW M3 softtop then I aint wrong :cartman:

this aint my mates but similar his is softtop tho http://www.dragtimes.com/BMW-M3-Timeslip-10449.html

14 dead is alright but when a stock bmw can do it in mid 13's it aint too good! 6.1 to 60 mph aswell is again ok, but think bmw does it in high 4's low 5's

6.1 to 60mph isnt too fast IMHO.

just for your info feller, a diesel 330 remapped is quicker then an M3 and a hel of alot cheaper.

why not compare your M3 to rash cupras old ibiza or compare your M3 to a veyron. they are all different class of cars and are all built for different purposes.

i work for BMW and to be honest E46 M3 are not the best performace car out there. plus when you boot them it sounds like half the exhaust is falling off.

i suggest you have a look at the web address you have typed in as you typed SEATcupra.net not BMWcupra.net

The powder coaters can't powder coat the calipers as they bake them at 190-200 degrees C. And it'd melt the piston seals. I dont want to be taking the pistons to pieces to get the seals out and risk buggaring them up, as you cant buy the seals seperately - hence why I bought new calipers in the first place.

So - i had to go to Halfords :)cry:) and get an aerosol made up. I went through all their colour chips and found a BMW colour that matches the carrier colour. Not being big headed, but I've sprayed and lacquered the new calipers and the colour match is near on perfect. ;)

Pics will be up either tomorrow or Thursday when I get them all unmasked and stuff. :)

Well - some companies call a Stage 1 - a stage 1 map. Stage 2 is a custom map and stage 3 is a hybrid. So that's what I've gone on! Although my turbo is only a stage 2 hybrid! So should change it to stage 2 really I suppose.... So many stages!

ash's next mod picture is the girlfriend in the front passenger seat holding on for dear life!

She loves it. :D

312mm update!

The carriers were powder coated - the calipers couldnt be powder coated, so I had to find a colour match and do them myself! As painters will know, it's hard enough finding a colour that'll match - sometimes even with the code as you get many shades of each colour.

To put it short, the colour they painted the carriers isnt a car manufacturer colour. So I had a right task finding a colour, especially a colour that bright!!!

But here's the results - what do you reckon? Just need discs and pads.

I'm HOPING to get it done before ED38! *fingers crossed*

(powder coated carrier on the left, caliper painted by myself on the right)

Bought one of these to help me bleed my brakes.

Can someone tell me, will I need to use the same brake fluid as is in the car to bleed the brakes, or can I use different stuff?
