I have retaining clips on my airbox btw - and one central bolt... could I get a bolt adapter? Make it longer? Like a double nut or something? hmm...

the pipe part is up to you really you can get rid of it or keep it i was thinking it was good to get some cold air to the filters and avoid heat soak but i suppose you could put the other end at the bumper or anywhere else it fits

works a treat and sounds good tho. just remember that you seal any of the top holes that are on the inside of the filters with something that is secure and cant get sucked into the TB or you might end up getting other loud sounds frm your engine.

what did you finaly seal the joint between the 2 and the top hole with?

A fabric pad - and decorators caulk... works pretty well as an adesive and flexible... Been decorating for months so I had a load of the stuff

Better.... erm... erm... I don't know haha. I'm just intreuged by the whole concept of it, I'm not being a chav dont worry. It sounds pretty cool though - to think it's just an open additional filter...

As far as I know - no it's not?... I'm using the same pipe work - just an additional duct pipe instead of the manifold one (you can get one from Halfrauds for £6 - 50mm dia.) And the airfilter HAF216 for £6 I believe... it sounds awesome haha!... Floor it after 2 - 2.5k lol, cheap thrills!... Get's the chavs going haha . You might be pretty shocked that I've actually done it haha, but I'm just really interested in the concept of it in all honesty!... Thanks to Robertnitro on here of course

haha if u think this ideas mad. years ago before i had a car my mate had a really chavy nova totaly cheesey, 4 fake exhaust pipes at the back,yellow sunstrip that covered the entire screen the lot! he got hold of 4 small plastic pc cooler fans and installed them in a small pipe each then had all the pipes converge into one that went onto the carb lol At idle it sounded like an asthmatic with a brick stuck in their throat, he was hoping for a turbo spooling kind of sound, when it reved up all it sounded like was he had several hairdryers running under the bonnet.
