Bit of a tangent here, but has anyone here sent their LCR K04 turbo off to CR Turbos to get it upgraded. Every thread I read on here is an LC owner with the K03(s) turbo. Just wondering what power gains an LCR owner might get from the K04 hybrid.

Not sure about CR turbos but backdraft claim upto 300bhp running stock manifold
JBS claim that their hybrid K04 with their still in development high flow manifold can see 320 to 340bhp.
Not too sure who JBS use for their hybridising though

for a reliable hybrid K04, you should see a healthy 290-300bhp and similar torque

running anything more for this type of turbo is pushing its limitations some what

anyone who truly believes you can get a reliable and sustained 320bhp from a K04 is on some pretty special medicine

sure enough, technically you could get this from a hybrid k04, but for how long....a few hours or days before it went pop!

if hybrid k04's could put out this sort of power reliably, then IHI's would be a thing of the past.....go figure:rolleyes:

Will be interest to see though when someone does release a high flow manifold for the K04 what kind of results it gets.
Some of the boys with hybrids now reckon results could be well up in 300s, could be reasonable gains

i can only imagin upto a 290 (max) reliable bhp from a k04... anymore and you'll be tipping lots of oil out of your fmic due to blown turbo lol

Where is this information about the pressure drop with the Forge FMIC coming from?
I had a slight pressure increase after fitting a Forge FMIC on a standard map aswell

how did you get a pressure increase??? you have a larger cooler and once more its a twin pass (assuming your talking about a cupra not a cupra R) so you will double the pressure drop of a single pass fmic???

Na it's a single pass (LCR) so presumably less piping to dissapaet the pressure.
anyway logging was done and more boost pressure 0.15 BAR was noted and WAY better cooling on full boost
