looking at doing a hybrid on my cupra aswell so interested in this thread. Anyone sourced a decent price unit then as happy to get everything bit by bit and fit it myself. I have a k03s to trade in.

Thats the cooler I originally ordered as part of the golf kit, unfortunatly the prats sent me a kit for a Audi A4 and have not been very helpfull with a refund so its in the hands of paypal.......until then my hands are tied but I'll have one soon.
As it sounds mate its a mount that the MAP sensor fits into, forge sell them for about £25-30
I've had a think and am considering saving to get my KO3 made hybrid. I read on the mkIV.net forum after a google search that LCR injectors, an intercooler and stage 2 map are all that's needed to support this.
I just want to clarify is this true? What bhp will I see? And which company can make my KO3 hybrid and what price.

CR Turbos or turbo dynamics can do this work of turning a k03 into a hybrid at a reasonable price, so long as the turbo is in good condition
BHP on a leon, due to 19mm pins should be set around 1.4/1.5 bar and will get around a sustained 270bhp+
speak to Bill @ Badger 5 who has just carried out all the hybrid install on mine, others and myself cannot recomment him enough
Hmmmmm I've just been offered a ko3s still under warranty for £350!! And intercooler with pipework for £160! With that stage 2 mapped will it be much difference compared to a ko3 hybrid? And I guess a big cost difference?

difference in cost from the hybrid will obviously be the hybrid treatment, 225 injectors, 3" MAF, high flow manifold with the fitment of the mani turbo and mapping
k03s just requires turbo to be fitted and mapped...so yes a considerable chunk cheaper

I'll Hook you up with the number tomorrow, the cooler seems to be v good and well flowed with less of a pressure drop then the £600 forge equivilant??? straight forward fit and i cant really see how you can go wrong with it???
as for prices... i'm not 100% (Friend of a friend) i'll get a name and number for you on here tomorrow
i'm happy to sort some logs out too for the difference in standard to the THS one for any interested partys i'm running mine Down the strip at GTI international this sunday so we can see the results there also
on that note has anyone run a 1/4 mile in a 1.8t cupra (AUQ) if so whats your best time (need a target)
I ran mine down the quarter mile for the first time at Santa Pod in May, decat and downpipe fitted, stock map. 15.56 seconds @ 87mph was my fastest. My car is an early Cupra so only has the ko3 too, yours has the ko3s.

I had a slight pressure increase after fitting a Forge FMIC on a standard map aswell
Bit of a tangent here, but has anyone here sent their LCR K04 turbo off to CR Turbos to get it upgraded. Every thread I read on here is an LC owner with the K03(s) turbo. Just wondering what power gains an LCR owner might get from the K04 hybrid.
