Exhaust manifold, Turbo, Down pipe, injectors, MAF, perhaps coolant/oil lines, FMIC, MAP sensor and housing.
In other words not worth it and way better off thinking of a KO3S or Hybrid KO3

Its worth it if you can get the parts cheap tho ;)

aye

k03s or k03 hybrid as a straight swap or GT2X is a straight bolt on in terms of mani and downpipe

How much am I looking at for a hybrid KO3s? I presume cheaper than a GT2x?

I paid near 3k, that was for a new hybrid K03 though as I did not have a K03 unit to exchange

I however had the supporting mods in place, like 225 injectors, 3" MAF and I think you dont have these modifcations already so this will be a bit more

I presume you have an FMIC too?

Bill @ Badger5 is doing all the work for me

I am presuming you wont be fitting any of this too?

see this thread here for the full kit price

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=216627

it's not cheap.....

Well if I already have a KO3 and all they need to do is 'hybridise' it how much would that cost? Then I presume nothing else needs to be changed apart from a stage 2 remap? What gains would that give?

Cheers

Na you will still need the upgrades like injectors, MAF, FMIC et etc.
don't try to do this too cheaply as you will regret it and it might not work properly with cutting corners, just look at Jamiebennetts thread as an example of doing it wrong first time and right the second time

Can't say fairer than that. It's my 21st in august and will have about £900 to spend, I guess that is not enough :(

or more the case of shoddy parts i.e. manifold and a poor install with my GT2X:(

still, stick with the OEM route or slightly deviate with this setup i.e. a hybrid and you should be fine

GT2X as per Robdons and Dannylads cars does work well, but it requires some thought around getting the install done right

no, it wont be

if you have the k03s as standard, then I would just spend the money on an FMIC and a remap

Will it totally transform the performance over a stock map if I got FMIC and stage 2 map? As that's what I want.

if you are is not mapped already then hell yes

what year is your car though, 2000 or 2001 i.e. do you have a K03 or K03S fitted as standard?

so long as you have the other supporting modifications like - induction kit, bigger down pipe, race cat etc then yes it will make a massive difference

mind you saying that, even without the downpipe etc, a remap over a stock map will make a mahoosive difference

FMIC is worth every penny though, especially in the warmer months

It's 2000 so I guess the lil KO3. Currently has uprated downpipe and decat, CAI, Turbosmart DV. Stock map.

I'd want to fit the FMIC myself. Are the ones on ebay for around £190 with necessary piping a good fit?

speak to Dannylad on here, he is very clued up on the whole ebay FMIC, but they will be more than adequate for a remap etc

if I was you, I would get a k03s and a high flow cast manifold

should cost you around £300 for the mani and turbo so long as the turbo is in good condition

Mine is 2000 and i have k03s :)

interesting

did they change it half way through the year then? i.e. facelift?

mind you its not the year, its the engine code which is important

I think AUQ has the K03S and I think AUG has the K03 (dont quote me on that)

What added benefit does the KO3s have over the KO3? I'm sure I read it only adds an extra 10hp with a remap? Although maybe combined with an uprated mani it has big advantages power delivery wise?

I'll PM Dannylad about the fmic :)
