Looking at a couple of MK2's tomorrow...

Any suggestions what I should be looking out for? The Cupra's I'm going to see have less than 10k on the clock and are under 2 years old.

Don't suppose there is a buyers guide knocking around is there? Search didn't reveal anything for the Mk2.

I've had a Mk1 Cupra for about 4 years now and tbh I've had ALL the usual problems  (coil packs, temp sensors, coolant level sensor, pre-cat lambda, leaking door seals) and don't really want to have the same things again if possible, although I do accept all cars have problems  - are the Mk2's a bit more hardy?

Cheers.

Cannot think of anything on the cupras that is a normal fault to be fair...

Except maybe excessive wear on the fuel pump / cam (or something like that!)

Check the following:-

1) Both mirrors fold away correctly
2) Rear silencer doesn't blow

That's the only problems I've had, although the 1st one sorted it's self out.

Good luck with the viewing

Bluetooth......if it ain't got it, don't buy it.

Bluetooth is a must

Good call!

Bluetooth .. 100% needed - as its not just for bluetooth phones! - Theres a whole menu there to configure how doors lock, lights turning on/off, indicators work etc.etc.

Just check they have xenon's too - you should be able to tell as there wont be 2 scroll wheels next to where you turn the headlights on and off it'll just be one for the dashboard lighting. - you'll also not have an oval shape that sticks up slightly from the bumpers underneath the front lights (these are for the headlamp washers)

There's plenty about that DO have Bluetooth for the same money. That's all I'm saying.

There are more out there without it on 2007 cars as far as I have seen.

Dont get me wrong, I would rather Bluetooth also, but the 2007 and early 2008 cars had Xenons as standard, and to me, this is more of a must have than Bluetooth when you consider you can add a Parrot/Stereo etc for next to nothing.
