HI GUYS

CAN ANYBODY RECOMMEND WHICH OF THE TWO CAT BACK SYSTEMS ARE BETTER QUALITY AND SOUND... I’VE CHECKED PRICES AND BOTH IN THE SAME PRICE RANGE.. I WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT WHICH OF THE TWO IS LOUDER AS I NOTICE THE PIPER IS A SINGLE BOX SYSTEM BUT HEARD THAT THE BLUEFLAME IS A LOT LOUDER THAT THE STANDARD SYSTEM:confused:

ANY COMMENTS & PICS WOULD BE APPRECIATED

THANKS IN ADVANCE

I think you can get a non-resonated BlueFlame (single box) also. If you want a full turbo-back system (downpipe, race-cat, unresonated mid pipe and backbox), I think BlueFlame is cheaper. For example BF downpipe & race-cat - approx £500, Piper downpipe & race-cat approx £700 or £900 if you want a ceramic version. Piper are very good quality though speaking from past experience but I reckon BF will be just as well made. I plan to go for BF.

I'm leaving Miltek out of the equation, the tailpipe isn't all that. BF & Piper look more or less OEM.

Miltek are very good but they have a weird looking sqaure tailpipe. I think you have to buy blueflame direct from them, I am not sure if they have any discount structure in place for SCN. Piper offer free delivery to us I think.

What it might be worth thinking about is, if you buy Piper and decided you want to put a de-cat/race-cat & downpipe on at a later date, will BlueFlame fit onto it or are you happy shelling out the extra £££ from the Piper parts?

blueflame id recommend.

good route if you are upgrading as you can at a later date uprate the downpipe and sports cat/decat.

where as the miltek system dont offer a downpipe for their system, and the sports cat is quite expensive.

got to say the blueflame is a 100% perfect fit and looks good quality stuff. been around a few years tryed and tested on the leon and havnt heard of any problems.

Mines resonated and the cat back system alone isnt much louder than the standard system just gives a better sound..

Milltek's are not 'all that' all of a sudden? Square and wierd? Damn! :D

dont think you will be disapointed with one, im quiet picky myself and i got no problems with it. tailpipe looks nearly identical to the standard one fits nicely in the bumper recess. get somebody to drive the car past you when you have fitted it so you can hear it for yourself, never really hear the real sound inside the car and when your driving.

ive got a platinum grey cupra r , got a full bluflame system on it and have to say it sounds great. obviously the cheaper option but have to say its just as well made. milltek next in line. my blueflame has been through some very hot cycles really going for it and touch wood, no exhaust leaks or problems so far. you'll not be dissapointed matey. gives a nice humming sound with out been to loud. resonated obviously.gives a bit of boom at 3-4k revs but its very liveable. not i have replaced the sports cat with a decat pipe it sound even more mental when giving it the beans. no louder than with cat when cruising. goodluck.

2 piece. joins above the axle, cant really see in that pic. couldnt get my old one off without cutting it into two peices. or you would have to remove the axle.. so i just choped it on the car.
