De-restricted Air Box

De-restricted my airvox today and fitted a CAI directly into it.
Pretty impressed with the results for how little it cost!
Seems slightly more responsive and sounds nicer (I drilled a couple of little holes )

the 1.4 8v box is a lot different tbh mate, it mounts directly on the throttle body which is positioned upwards and has two panel filters so its not a simple drill the bottom of the box out job you have to be careful or you end up with unfiltered air!

Look on the last page at my old thing. The 'engine cover' is also the air box for a reason which is beyond me!

Very nice. dont really see the point of an open cone on mine, and something enclosed like the dynatwist would be wasted on a 1.4

You notice much over standard with it?

To be honest they are only really needed if they are accompanied with other mods, which mine is and will have some more to come

cheers for that took it out today easy as pie lol and replaced with cold air feed feels more responsive now
