To re-set the sevice indication (if your dealer forgets to do it like mine did....)

1. Press and Hold the Odometer knob in
2. Turn the ignition on (do not start the car though)
3. Turn the odometer knob to the right and hold for about 5 secs.
4. Release odometer knob and switch ignition off.
5. Start car, Service indicator should now be gone

I paniced the other day.. Fitted an aftermarket headunit, switched to audio on the MFD to see what it did and it stuck there! Held the menu button in, turned the car off etc and nothing would change it. Turns out, opening my headunit made it switch.. [:@]

Always thought the wing mirrors moving together was an electrical fault on my FR until traded it for a Cupra K1 and it did the same thing!

Found it a tad annoying to be honest but at least I know which to adjsust first now.

Cant say ive ever adjusted them (or felt the need to) for parking but now I know that its not a fault and the purpose of it

When you press audio on a standard headunit then press 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 you can have 6 preset setups for bass, mid, treb etc.

So if you want to turn everything up at once just press a number rather than fiddling thru 3 menus.

Filled my 57 plate 2.0 TFSI FR DSG washer bottle yesterday and found some screenwash in the garage today so decided to add it.
Released the bonnet ready to fill up again after squirting some fluid out, switched on, pulled the stalk to wash/wipe the front - NOTHING
The rear wash/wipe did operate though.

So bonnet released = no front wash/wipe or wipe...... how it performs this trick I do not know

Glad that was all it was though as I had disconnected the battery yesterday, and not washed or wiped since, to perform the battery cover mod
I found on here - Which I must say looks mighty fine

Leons (I believe all models) have a Cat 1 alarm / immobiliser.

That covers the bonnet, so nobody can get under and mess with the alarm.

I don't know where the switch is though....?

Mine works fine with the bonnet up. The switch definitely works for the alarm as I have locked it once with the bonnet up, then closing it causes the indicators to flash once as it engages the alarm on the bonnet.

Found today if you hold the audio button on the standard mp3 unit on a FR for about 5 seconds it goes into some sort of test mode.

It shows a few extra bits of info including signal strength of the radio station. I was surprised though I was only getting 50% most of the time.

Yes, I put that post about the radio function.

Signal strength only goes upto either 62 or 63. Strange number I know..
I pass by the main BBC transmitter at the A1 near Peterborough, all national BBC stations only read up to that 62 number, so if you are getting "50" as a signal, you arent doing bad!!
Radio seems to drop out from stereo to mono at abot 20 ish.

I wish someone would figure out how to display the speed on the climate control display, im sure everyone has seen the youtube footage of it being done on the altera which has exactly the same unit. Doesnt have much use but its the novelty things in life.

If you have the phone buttons on your steering wheel, press the top left and top right buttons together and it enables/disables the steering wheel illumination.
