Right so iv had me ibiza mk2 for 4 months now and i havent driven it further thanthe 10m of my drive 
. but it is 13 years old and has done 16000miles o i dont have any relability problems. o it passed its mot a few months ago, no faults.
my problems are:
--> insurance
is thre anyhign i can do to keep the cost of it down? i know all the general stuff, no cliams, driveway n stuff, but i mean changes to car etc to keep it safe. the only security feature i know atm is the steering wheel can be locked if i turn it while the key is out. does that class as an imobiliser. are there any others i can add? alarm etc.
--> no rev counter
instead i have a giant clock. i nwo this not essential, but i feel i wud be a better driver if i could see how many revs iw as doing, as i am a new ish driver. is ther any non drastic way to add 1?
--> Spare parts
currently thre are 2 things wrong with the car, the front passenger door cannot be locked/unlocked with the key as a hook on a little metal rod that sticks out of the handle if you take it off is broken. i tred to get 1 replacement but it was too short thus useless. The second problem is the wire that allows the front door window to decend has snapped and i need a replacement. however i may ust go down to a scrap yard and find a seat/poloi that i can nabb them from.
any help wud be great, and sorry if this in wrong area, but hopefully others can find this topic and its replies and gain useful info .
