Hoses off N75 go to wastegate actuator and the top of the charge pipe.

Yep, from the N75 to the bottom of the actuator. If the actuator has been disconnected, you've only been running on wastegate spring pressure, about 4psi, nowhere near the level of performance you would normally get. Surely you would notice this? Let me have another look at your pics, that doesn't sound right.

Right, had another look. From what I can see, you will only hold a very small amount of boost with that hose plumbed in there. There should be a hose already attached to your wastegate actuator, this needs to connect to the other hose from your N75 valve that sits on top of your TIP. When you get this rectified, you'll need a new DV relocation pipe if you want to continue to run the HKS BOV. An ideal opportunity to get a 1.8T friendly valve?

The only way I can still see you being able to run any sort of boost with the setup as is, is if he has put so much pre-load on the actuator arm that its unable to open the wastegate or if he has somehow jammed the wastegate shut. Either way, thats very very bad news.

In any event, don't let this cowboy near your car ever again.

hmmm...

Looking again at stef's pics I reckon it's the hose from the N75 that should normally go to the charge pipe that has been connected to the DV pipe, I think I can see the actuator pipe looks like its going to the right place.
As both the DV pipe and N75 hose go to the charge side (as per Ross' pic) then stef's setup would work. The question then remains that here must be an unconnected outlet off the charge pipe that that hose needs to go to

thanks for the replies firstly, had another look, i have the pipe to actuator wastepipe, but its the other thats plumbed into the dv pipe, im running 1.1bar boost but feels laggy, like theres a leak. did you say the other pipe thats in the dv pipe goes to charge pipe? take it thats the intercooler pipe? my intercooler is a universal front mount perhaps thats why he did it as theres no outlet for the pipe to go onto?

Good news that your actuator is still plumbed in mate, I was worried for you there. The other hose goes to the top of the U shaped charge pipe that sits at the back of your engine block. Its the middle hose of the 3 on my pic above.

from what i can work out from the pics, the blue silicon/alloy pipe under the maf is the charge pipe coming from a front mounted intercooler. The silicon bodge of the pipe to the DV hose is there because a non-standard charge pipe has been installed; normally this pipe would connect to a nipple on the charge pipe sending boost pressure to the n75, to allow control of the wastegate. Instead, the n75 is getting boost supplied from the "bodged" connection into the DV hose; this may not hold under remapped boost conditions! I'd suggest getting a 25mm-6mm-25mm t piece in there to replace the bodge :)

thats awesome danny thanks mate, ill do that. sounds like theres some boost leaking somewhere, which pipes do i need to check apart from the dodgy pipe of course.

anything downside of the turbo pretty much! Key areas being the smaller boost pipes below the intake manifold and above the turbo (DV / n75 etc etc)

thats an image of my engine bay with the n75 layout...
the silver pipe over the engine is the same as your silver one running under the TIP joined with the blue silicone hose... looks to be around 50-60mm in diameter in your photos

from the n75
thinish blue pipe opposite the plug goes to the charge pipe (the one mentioned above)
black pipe goes to the turbo actuator

thats great but im not going to drill a hole in my intercooler pipe. surely i could just tee into the pipe that goes into the back of the dv for the n75?

could i not just put a t piece into my blue vacuum pipe that goes into the top of the dV?

in theory, yes; although this is not the best option as this means that your dv, n75 and boost gauge are all sharing one source (a small nipple on the intake mani) instead of having individual sources. But I am no expert and am still trying to learn more myself so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong anyone :)

yea thats probably your easiest option cant see it making any difference to being tapped into the charge pipe tbh

wouldnt bother tapping into the vaccuum line though, not sure this would work, and you probably wouldnt find a T piece that would accomodate the increase in pipe size anyway...

yeah thats what im thinking, ive looked on ebay already for a 25-6mm t piece, no chance so ill tee into the dv pipe, 5-6mm jobby. ill give it a go on thurs on my day off and ill let you know if it worked. thanks alot!!
