I would of made the pads bigger and run a continous weld around them (stronger) but I thinks thats strong enough.

Good work:)

thanks, the rears are fully seam welded as they cant be bolted through the rear turrets, but the rest is stitched and bolted through the body and 3mm plate, seen alot of these type cages just bolted through body, the ideal way is to get a proper weld in cage and seam weld the whole car now thats strong but a time consuming, and i dont like dave that much to do that job for a free nurby ticket ha ha

Yeah I had the same fun with mine, I made each pad no less than 10cm square area and seam welded all the way around with captive nuts welded to the underside of the plate.

Good luck, there were 12 made..... I have one, Stu, Ben (Ibiza95) as half a one. There was a 360bhp Mk3 Ibiza I was after last year from Cardiff that had one but not fitted, that either went with the car or it was the one I told him to "Feck off" to £300 that he was asking for it.

I read on Club GTi just after fitting mine that someone on there had one for his Mk2 Golf but noticed it wouldn't fit unless you cut it up a bit and was thinking of selling it on for £50 but someone was interested in that striaght away.

So I've named 5 or 6 by there that are gone, the company that made them were Custom Cages but I got onto them before and would cost £300-£400.

It took me about a year to find one mate.
