Looking at the pics I was actually thinking about how much better it would look with the "cupra section" done black.

I also love your grille. You painted a linea one black?

It was a grille from the seatfactory on Ebay. Far cheaper than buying a Linea one.

On the bumper, who has actually done this to their FR and how did they do it? Spray shop, themselves?

Sprayed my lip black yesterday after being told it would be £90 !!!! no chance. I do think having the black strip suits the splitter better. Easy for you Cupra boys! Fitted nicely after being prayed proffesionally Matt Black and really gives a subtle but aggresive look I feel.

Not a chance over the weekend, assigned gardening duties, plus my assistant cried off, so Next weekend, probably... I'm too knackered by the time I've got home from work to contemplate fitting it by myself..
If you're doing it, how's about a fitting guide with pics???

I never took the bumper off. I have kept the screws sent with it and instead used some beefy 65mm s/steel screws and washers. Saved me alot of time and effort and trust me it certainly ain't going anywhere!

30 min job

I am still waiting for mine! Last time I contacted Gernot, he told me they shipped mine to UK by mistake (which then apparently got lost) and they'll ship another one to Greece... still waiting.

Just how heavy is this thing? It looks ace, but I would imagine that on a lowered car that you would need to be very careful not to damage it.

Didnt weigh it although it did stike me as being heavy for a splitter but very sturdy.

My cupra's pretty low but the slitter doesnt come any lower than anythinh under the car so no more drama than usual...

Jacked from my other thread...

Splitter on... :D

hello,

Is it just me, or is there a difference between these splitters on how "tight" they are fitting on the sides?

Tight:

Less tight:

I noticed that as well. I think it depends on how tight is placed underneath in the middle of the mask. If you tight it in the middle the edges will be pushed outwards, if you loosen it in the middle the edges will be pushed inwards.
