I need to change all my shocks and springs as well :/ but i dont want to spend fortune.

Any more opinions on this topic ?

Weitec kit is actually more expansive that Koni str.t. Weitec kit is 336 abd Koni str.t is 265 pounds.

At the end of the day chaps you get what you pay for. I was going to go for Weitecs but I was concerned a 50mm drop was too much so I spent a bit more and got the KW's.

I think the KW is -40mm right? So IIRC, that'll drop your LCR by about 20mm? Any pics Skahigh?

Hasn't arrived yet mate, will have pics in a couple of weeks, Nev_LCR has the -40mm springs on his and there are pics around here somewhere.

I almost crashed my car recently because of rubbish rear dampers. I need to change them because i actually have few reasons to live ;p.

i have the koni str.t and its ok. it improves handling a little and lowers it but not the full 30mm it says.

however i think this may be because i have a cupra and it is already 12mm lower than standard?

overall, you get what you pay for. if you want a harder ride and bigger drop save up another £150 and get a slightly better kit.

Iv got this kit on mine, very happy with it, use it in conjunction with upper and lower front strut braces,

Very impressed overall.

I have a question, if a suspension kit whether it being coilovers or new springs and dampers if it says it lowers by 40 or 50mm how much will that lower the car to the ground by roughly? as in sump being closer to the ground and speed bumps by 40 or 50mm.

That depends on your car mate. The drop is stated against a standard Leon (1.6 or something) LC's and LCR's are already lower so the drop is less than stated. I believe LCR drop will be about 20mm less than stated.

Adam, depends on what car you have and whether you have bought matched springs and shocks.
The drop is quoted from the standard ride height of a standard Leon. The Cupra is 12mm lower than the standard one and the LCR is 9mm lower still. so a kit with 40mm of drop on a LCR will put your sump 19mm closer to the weeds. With springs only on OEM shocks its a lottery

So if i went for the Weitec Hicon GT Coilover Kit, what do you think would be the max drop with out scaring the sump too much over speed bumps (the little ones that you have to straddle) and my car is a LC which is getting mapped on wednesday :)
