I was wondering if this super unleaded will make a diffrence in a turbo engine as it didnt in my vvc engine in my mg zr. Wich is the best fuel for proformance? or are they all the same. When my petrol light comes on how many litres is left in the tank? as mine comes on at quarter bar :S , seems to early

Super unleaded has a higher octane rating, which gives a much better burn in the chamber under compression. Tesco's has reputably shown the best results with the 99RON.

Some super unleaded fuels claim to have additives that are supposed to reduce carbonation of valves etc...

You may find that although S U/L is more expensive you could get more miles from a tank. It won't be enough to offset the cost of the fuel over U/L.

I find the newer 2.0T engines are more responsive to 98RON than the 1.8T's. Whilst my 1.8T idles better, and when running stage 2 I was able to tune the car more aggressively on the higher octane fuel, I'd say the difference was marginal. If you can afford it without having to sacrifice anything then do it as it will keep your engine in better condition, but even after adaptation don't expect night and day difference. Choose one and stick with it so the car doesn't have to keep adapting to new fuels.

i use the vpower stuff from shell. as the people who mapped my car and revo reconmened me to use.
they said it will take a few tanks worth but yall notice a differance.
its hard to say but i get more miles out of it.
i have noticed the car has so much more steam from the exhaust in the cold think this is just cus it burns at a hot rate.

any of the 97-98 stuff should be fine for your car.

ive notice tescos is 99ron i thought that was near to rocket fuel and what supercars use.
think the bp optimax is 98 ron.
