Should I just leave them as they are and spend the money on a remap?

Wheels look awesome, but given the choice, I'd go for the remap first, but that all depends on what you want from your car.
The wheels do look good though so I'd say you're onto a winner either way!

Well hope that's cleared it up for you!!! :D

Ewww :) I think you will be suprised how low you can go and still get over speed bumps, I have not come across one bump i have not been able to get over, you just have to go soooo slow and sometimes sideways :)

LOL I already do go soooo slow - and sideways!

You need to come round my neck of the woods I'll show you some real man's speedbumps!

They've just put some in on Banstead road that are way above the legal limit allowed and I have to go 2mph at an angle to avoid ruining my sump, suspension arms, exhaust and whatever other bits that hang under there - and I'm not even that low!

Anyway, like I said, watch this space about the speedbumps. I have a cunning plan...

Um, yeah thanks bud

I like the wheels with the red stripe but it does take away the impact of those lovely rims, i would leave them standard but then i just like silver rims. What ever you do i'm sure its going to look nice, apart from the pink ones!!

Yeah people have said that, to a point I agree. You're right it will take away the impact - you wont even be able to seee them at night. But I think in a way thats part of the charm for me - a bit stealth. I've been enjoying rolling around with them in silver with the audi centre caps (had some funny looks off TT drivers hehe :gay:) and now I think I fancy something different.

I wasn't sure about the red stripe, i was gonna do them anthracite and then use that bike tape stuff just incase it looks gash and also to keep it cheap. Great thing about that is if I curb them (god forbid) I can put a new bit of tape on and it's sorted!

The other thing that I been realising is that the wheels are half the price of the remap, so there's not much contest. She's already fast enough to lose me my license so I'm gonna wait on the remap for now.

Okay so I debadged the LEON off the tailgate today, something I've been meaning to get round to since the day I got her. Also put on my new locking wheel nuts, which took ages to arrive. Gave the ol' girl a good polish ready for the London meet this evening so I thought I'd post a few pics - enjoy:

Thanks AmD

Took her down to AmD Woking on Wed and had them do a proper 5 year service. Apparently I don't need the cambelt done for another year or so since the milage is so low and according to them the previous owners have really babied her (phew). They even went so far as to say it was the nicest example of the LCR they'd seen (although i bet they say that to all the punters hehehe).

I now have some lovely Ferodo DS2500 pads (can't wait till they bed in), new spark plugs, fully synthetic oil and at last some piece of mind. Goes to show that buying privately (and being picky) can really pay off. Technically I wasn't really due for a service, but since she's new to me I thought it would be best and I'm glad I did it. Thanks to the boys at AmD for their help and for letting me borrow the Brabus Smart car for the day - that thing really changed my opinion of Smart cars - although I did feel like a bit of a hairdresser...

This is where you all congratulate me for having the willpower to turn down the stage 1 remap.

Best way to see how its running mate is to run some logs with VAG come :)

Must have been a very nice complement when they said it was the nicest example of an LCR :)

Yeah I'd love to get VAG COM sorted, but I can't afford it. Don't suppose you've got I copy I can come and see in use? Apart from anything I wanna set it to beep when I lock it and unlock all doors at once!

And yes, that was an awesome compliment, but I don't know how many LCRs they see down there tbh. Most examples of the car have been driven hard from what I've seen so it's all relative - I'll try not to let it go to my head!!!
