Can anyone help me? Is it possible to adjust the main beam on the headlights without altering the position of the dipped beam? I cant get a good balance on mine! when the dipped headlights are in a perfect position the main beams are pointing three feet in front of the car and when i have got the main beams adjusted to an ideal position the dipped lights are lighting up the tops of trees. I have tried manual adjustment with the white wheel but both lights seem to move together. Any ideas?

High beam and dipped beam move together on the motors and on the adjusters that they use for your MOT beam alignment.

I think you are the first person to have a problem with this  are your bulbs all fitted/located correctly?

Yeah the bulbs are in properly as far as i can tell but will take them out again and double check. Problem only really started after putting a new bulb in so will have a look.

ok well i have the same problem, i changed all the bulbs an to do so was easier with the headlamps out. i have cheaked the seating of all the bulbs an looks fine. asked the stealler to align during its service which they did. But now the dipped is fine but main beam hight is differant on either side ?? i am begining to think the main beam alignment is done by phisical headlamp position ie where its bolted on , the adjuster moves only dipped and the motor moves the whole lot, i am probably wrong but i wish i had never taken them off now !!!!! gggrrr

I'd agree with checking the bulb positions as they must be at an angle as surely you understand that the dips are the low ones and the mains the high ones.
