Before/After Remap MPG

Plenty of people on here have got a remap on the Diesel FR, just wondering how many people noticed a difference to their MPG before and after the map?

Currently i'm getting around 370 miles on average to a full tank before it needs refueling. Thats with a good mix of granny driving, town, motorway and the odd exhaust clear out;)

Do you reakon i'd see an increase to about 410/420 miles out of a tank with a map? Or would it be barely noticeable?

I didnt get any increase in miles per tank after the remap. If anything it went down a bit. I usually only get about 330 miles, if i drive easy all the time i can get up to about 370 with the remap.

i noticed with the map turned on, that the boost guage would be about 0.1 bar less than normal when driving on the carriage way over a 20 mile stretch

econmy drving on the carriage way is about 0.4 bar, demapped
econmy drving on the carriage way is about 0.3 bar, mapped

improves mpg by about 5-10 mph in my case some times!

in town you'll struggle to see 380 miles to a tank...if you vary between town, motorway then you should see this figure. motorways you should see excess of 400 to a tank

Its about what i do. I get 330ish in winter and 380ish in summer, mostly from round town and commuting (13 miles each way), sometimes taking it easy, sometimes not. Most i ever got was about 420 going to Devon and back. 400 or more- I just dont know how you do it!

i had mine mapped and tbh have not noticed a huge difference, still getting 600ish miles to a tank.

i just started working 30 miles from home 3 weeks ago. Its a very easy drive, bit of twisty up and down country like roads for about 2 miles to get out of my town, and then dual carriageway the rest of the way, with about 10 miles of it being 50 speed limit. Mine did 440 miles to 40 litres (50mpg) first time i used a tank.

and that was with a few "spirited" drives home after a long day.

i've only done it once though, since my car is off the road being repaired after my neighbour reversed into it!

i'm expecting 500+ if i manage the patience to drive it properly

always see 600+ in my old mans 100pd that is mapped, cant see how you guys are only getting 300-400

this is on a 35 mile each way commute on some nice and twisty a roads, with lots of trucks that need overtaking

overtaking doesn't necessarily mean using more fuel as you tend to be in higher gears. members in the 300-400 miles to a tank are most probably, like myself, doing quite a lot of 2nd and 3rd gear driving, with the odd moving up gears for dual carriageways.

the other day i stuck the computer to show current mpg and i was constantly going into the 20's and below when having to slow down to lights or traffic and moving off again...which is probably for the majority of the journey time
