need help choosing the right wheel for my car , really thought this would be a easy choice , i am proved wrong .. all the wheels i had in mind dont work.. at all

i wanted to go 17-18's min 8 front and min 8.5 rears preffer 9's for rear i was thinking about going for some radinox dished wheels and colour code the centers but not sure if it will work
also feeling merc segin wheels , most probly polished

but what other wheel is out there ? obv i no alot of wheels that are scene but dont no exactly what will be scene and still suit my car help please !

Try edition38 and w.h.e.e.l.w.h.o.r.e.s (without the dots), these sites will provide better info and suggestions for you. Id tell you one rim to avoid (as im getting them and dont want to give away my plans)

why do they have to be "scene" wheels? surely a nice set you actually like would be a wiser choice rather than a set that have graced loads of mk4 golfs? just out of interest will you also be having the obligatory stretched tyres that are part of the "scene"?

Its best to get what you like and be different IMO weather its 'scene' or not. Im not going down the BBS route as its been done on leons and looks good (unless find some genuine lm's cheap).

imo 9inch on the rear will be overkill on the leon, doesnt really suit dub wheels.

18s oem style, i.e rs6, lcr or a nice set of curved multispokes all look the dogs

look in the readers ride section, loads of examples in there

lambo gallardo alloys to be different, or a set of porsche replicas?

tried e38 and wheel *****s dude im on there every day lol

and i want to go along the lines of scene because that is all that im into and have been for years , ive built 3 show cars 2 bein polo's and one a euro'd corsa so want to go along the same lines with the leon , as for stretched tyres depends what wheel i end up going for if and width i go for a more flat faced rim it wont be a mega stretch just slight but if i go for say something like 17" bbs rs splitties it will be more of a majour stretch to make them fit under the arch without scrubbage which is the whole point of stretched tyres but i dont see a set of them popping up in a hurry
here is what ive got in mind after havin a lil search last night and personally think could work really well if the camber is set up right on the rear im thinking they will still suit the "performace- OEM" look the leon gives off but still along the scene line if you no what i mean :

no offence, the polo ones arent my taste at all, maybe the ronals on the leon may suit...

merc alloys at the top are okay.

rh porsche reps look mint imo

na tbh i dont really like the polo wheels either lol just a spure of the moment thing i did have some work equip 03's lined up but then i got the leon insted so the polo is now for sale to fund the leon

rh reps are the ultimate wheel but thats just abit out of my price range as they are £1600 just for wheels , but they would look the dogs danglies

i was also looking at some merc segins which would also lok cool imo but theres so many options to choose from but i cant find any pics on the net of scene leons to give me some inspiration :(

wish i could afford it :(

some came up on e38 last month for 1k with tyres but they went like next day i think such a sick rim

im feeling segins, i think it will keep it looking OEM while still being mega clean and work with the paint colour

so if your after scene alloys then you looking at 17s tops, which will requie a hefty drop as the leon has huge arches...

porsche reps on 17s arent too expensive, again tbh i dont like the above alloys.

ive got photoshop so that aint a problem its jus all the pics ive got of my car aint got the R kit on so hard to see what it will look like really .
yer thats the other thing as the leon is my daily i dont really wana go mega low unless im on bags which is just defeating the whole object and will loose the good handling that the leon has :(

so enoying lol
