I installed 5k HIDS 3 months or so ago.
I havnt been pulled ( tho I'm an old git so not as susceptible to a pull as you young ones ) nor flashed as of yet.
I originally had 6k hids which were too blue for my liking, and the cheap ebay kit didnt work for long, so got the 5k.
My description would be - very white.

I have 4300K and think they are the best colour, but its down to personal preference. I dont like the blue lights, but others do.

I think you may want to see the lights 'in the flesh' as most pics dont do them justice!

I had 4300k Xenons in my old clio 172 sport, so if you see one of them around, thats the same colour of my lights

I have 6000k hids fitted in my LCR and a mate of mine changed his 6000k to a 4300k in his celica but sson changed them back again as he wasnt happy with the light being to much like original
As you can see in the second picture the difference between 6000k and original main beam.

I have 6000 but would have 4300 next time probably, mine are a touch too blue. 4300 might be too normal, but at least I'd know which I prefer!

I had my mot just after christmas and passed with HIDs no problem.

4300k or 5000k ones look just like normal headlights there like a yellow ish close up and only look good from a distance. I would personally go for the 6000k ones mate if i was you

I have 4300K, they look great when you first turn them on but when they warm up they go very white. Wouldnt say yellowy - but they dont look very HID-like, wish I had got 6K's now - but they can be a little bluey so its personal preference really.

The next set I get I will also opt for the slimline ballast, costs a little more but easier to stash it somewhere
