Still want one.......
Sorry
Sarah

How old are you?

I seriously think it looks stupid. I have seen a diesel with a dump valve the point is.. why?

It would probably loose performance rather than gain/stay the same. I'd say it's a waste of £100-200 or whatever the price is. Much better saving that money for hard times!

Well said mate.

Well said mate.
I am 44 and my son is 24 with a MK4 Golf with the Carbonio style intake and I love it
With me not being able to have a Carbonio , I want the sound......so this gives me the sound

It does NOT loose performance at all , not a skeric!!!!
Hard times......may be there are some to come , but then is your car standard? mine aint either
Until I heard that one , I would not of even thought of having one
But it was NOT a big chavvy sound.... it is slight and sweeeeeet :D
Have you heard one?
Anyone who has a CAI on their car has the sound.......unfortunately on my car there is no CAI and the only way to get the sound is this way
So please....what is wrong with that?

My new/previous car is/were totally standard.
Your 44 years old and you want a dump valve.
I have most deffinatly heard one, many of times.
What is this current climate in at the moment? Also have spare cash handy in any unfortunate cases, may just help you a lot when you need it.

That's whats wrong ;)

If you wanted all this performance and mental sounding cars, which growl at the dizzy heights of 7000rpm.. why didn't you get a petrol?

Then a Dump Vavle would not be such a bad idea imo.

Now now children! :p

I think the original poster may have been scared off now!

At the end of the day its each to their own!!!

Its to hope he is not scared off!!!
As Andy sadi each to their own

I live 74 miles away from where I work , that is why I dont have a petrol car

yes I am 44 years old and have modded all the time
I had a mk3 Capri 2.0S that was modded to the hills

So after all these years of working.... it is time for me
Yes me , now I can do a little bit for myself
My kids have grown up , you know what...... it is me time , and me to spend my hard earn`d on
So a holiday in Spain..... by the pool with a very very large glass of Spanish red wine.... and a dump valve for my diesel :D
Could life get any better?

I am easily pleased :cartman: but dont tell my fella , Mark , who used to be the UK sales manager of Forge Motorsport and who helped design the Diesel dump valve

Id much rather spend £200 of 200 membership's to crappy backstreet ****o websites

 :cartman:

Well you all laugh , but to be fair we fitted a Forge one on a Fabia vRS abd you know it really did sound nice
I am sorry , it was not chavvy if anyone thinks that I am going down that route
To the point where I REALLY REALLY want one
To me , it just sounded like a Golf 1.8T etc with a Carbonio......
The car had been mapped , it had NOT lost any power at all
Yes not cheap , but then too Carbonio`s are not
As it was a Forge one , quality product and I have to say , I was very very impressed!!!!!!
Sorry if that does not meet to all of your opinions, but that is mine
Sarah

I'd have one on mine. I'm not ashamed to say. I reckon it could be cool. I mean I wouldnt pay that money FOR one! But I'd have one. I reckon with the noise my derv makes (not dervish noises) I reckon it could be cool!

136bhp petrol....oh man. What's the torque figures? Just over 100ft/lb?

That's gotta be pretty gutless in a car that size..... sorry fella but I'd rather have my tractor anyday. And I'd woop your arse in it too. ;)

But each to their own! Happy motoring.

160ft.

it aint gutless surpisingly. 9.3sec to 60. So actually, the same as the Tractor.

(Oh here it comes, remap it)

T5 and you wont even come close  ;)

I'd rather have the full leather, aircon(ok yours does too), extra comfy seats, cruise control, very quite, nice and refined ;)

Oh, it's not a tractor either. mwahahah :D

But it's not a T5. So i dont have to worry. And I think when I'm running my hybrid turbo in a month or two, I'll certainly be able to give the T5's a good run. 240bhp and 375ft/lb of torque!

I dont care about the leather seats and stuff. I'd prefer to be thrown back in the seat and leave the people behind in a thick cloud of derv smoke! :D
