Raindrops keep falling on my head!

In this vile weather I have a new problem-not one I have found on here anyway. Every time I open the hatch water drips from the inside -from the area of the inside of and below the handle mechanism where there is a narrow horizontal slot in the black plastic. In other words there is evidence of water getting in to the hatch which drips on my head. Annoying and perhaps worrying. Anyone any experience or advice?

Is it only two of us? I wonder if this may account for some of the misting up threads?

happens on mine if i lift the tailgate after washing it - i just put it down to water coming out of the drain holes as designed . . . . have you a blocked drain or possibly a leaking screenwash pipe?

Thanks for the suggestion I will look for drain holes!
