If it's a N/A, then put a turbo to it. If it's already charged, then put even bigger turbo to it. :)

This is what "red top" astra engine (N/A, 150hp originally, C20XE 2,0L) did with 1,2bar. Only upgrades to the engine were H-beam rods, exhaust manifold with Holset HE221W and DTA engine management.

470Nm @4750rpm, 311kW (~420hp) @5600rpm.

With 1,7bar it broke drive shaft into two pieces.

Here's the car. BMW with Opel engine.

If your running 200bhp from your car can you not just get a bigger turbo ?

well tbh i was trying to skirt around the idea of a big turbo, due to the amount i would use the extra power, and general drivability....and cost, as theres still alot of development going on!!wish id bought a bloody vag tdi now!!

also once you have an n2o setup,it doesnt mean its vehicle specific to a degree so could be used elsewhere in the future??

how often do you use yours mate??

NOS can be moved from vehicle to vehicle but would need to be adjusted to the engine, so you may need to change nozzles if they cannot be adjusted enough. Pretty sure you could re-use the bottle, wiring and controller at least though :)

Remember you can't inject extra diesel into the inlet tract the way you would with petrol. You would need to run somthing with a much higher octane rating like Propane for the aditional fuel (or up the injector opening times, but this will be an all the time or switchable map (not that I know much about the ashtray TDi ECU)).

Water or Water/Methanol inrection is also movable from car to car. The water works to both cool the incoming charge and act as an artificial compression booster (old trucks used to do this with diesel to boost power on steep hills though it was only suposed to be used when starting), methanol is more effective in cooling the charge and acts as an aditional clean burning fuel.
