Old Mk2 Belgian Ibiza GT TDI and my new ride!!

So! I'll try to introduce my Ibiza in english, it won't be easy lol

Mk2 Ibiza GT TDI 90hp (left hand drive)

12/1997, actually 261 000 km (approx. 162 185 miles)

Stock equipment:

- Remote locking
- Driver Airbag
- Remote heated mirrors
- MFA board computer
- Power front windows
- 15 inch alloy wheels
- Rear roof spoiler
- Side skirts
- Front fog lights
- Sport suspension
- Sport seats

So, here's the car now:

But it's winter, and we have so much snow this year in belgium!

Here's the winter mode, with modified 14 inch Polo 6N2 wheels and 4 M+S tyres:

Modifications' list:

- 16 inches mk3 Ibiza 20VT alloy wheels, Toyo Proxes 195/45/16
- height adjustable coilover
- Angel Eyes black headlights
- HID Kit 4300K
- Red brake calipers with Seat heatproof logo
- Black tinted rear windows (tinted front windows are forbidden in Belgium )
- Bosch Aerotwin wiper blades
- LED black side indicator
- LED front indicator
- Rear wiper suppression
- Peugeot 607 short antenna
- Exterior badge deletion



- Alloy Audi TT Pedal Set
- Blue LED light for instrument cluster
- Armrest with led light inside
- Alloy gearknow and handbake gaiter
- DVD DiVx autoradio with color touchscreen, USB reader, TV, etc
- Pioneer front speakers, and Monacor rear speakers

The blue instrument cluster: First, i only changed the two stock red bulbs for blue ones. It was bad, so i used blue LED stripes:

Before now, i had a 6000K HID kit, but it was too blue!

So, here's the comparison between 6000 and 4300K:

It's in good condition it's true (and in belgium, so much salt on the road in winter )

Unfortunately, rear wings start to rust (because of salt i suppose)

So in 3 weeks, go to the bodywork to make it good!

Delete rust and new wings paint, and in the same time new bumper paint.

How do you find the raceland coilovers?? Are they hard or soft?? Dont really want anything really hard.

Im upgrading to coilovers in the next few months so I'm looking for ideas.

In fact, i were surprised because it's relatively confortable, and yet the car is low (-8.5cm)

Before this i had H&R lowered spring with standard shock absorber, it's a little harder but road holding is very better!

It's softer than V-maxx....

I'm not so sure we do get it here. We get a VW Golf called the GT TDi, but in the UK the later model SEAY Ibiza has a TDI Sport model. Sure we don't get a GT TDi.

There's Sport Ibiza, but Mk3 and Mk4...

GT TDI was only fort he Mk2

A little question:

I've 6 white LED bulbs in my headlights that i did'nt connect.

I bought 6 LED orange bulbs.

I wonder if i connect them with turn indicator, or position light, as an US car?

where did you get them LED's from? were they hard to install?

The LED are easy to install, it is enough to replace the whites who rose of origin in headlights by oranges of the same size(format).


For others rear-view mirrors, a vandal broke them when the car was parked in city...
