I can only seem to find the Alpine CDA-9812RB, which is silver and wouldn't look anywhere near as good in my Cupra R. Where did you get yours from and how much are you talking?

This is dis-continued now I got it of here, I have seen them cheaper but mine was mint and boxed still.

Suppose my two cents

Pioneer one from Argos. Goes well with the interior (would prefer red text) and sounds pretty good too.

The Alpine iDA X100 is fitted and I've also painted the centre console to match the previously painted fascia, so no more mismatch silvers.

I have to say that this is by for the best Stereo i've owned and i've had a lot Apline's as well as many other top brands.

I haven't changed any speakers from OEM and i'm not going to bother fitting my sub because the sound is very clear and there's plenty of bass. Although it has no CD player it's not been missed, I have an 8GB USB stick that holds roughly 90 CDs worth.

I've also worked out how to put your own custom picture onto the iDA's display.

Thought id add mine as i know its difficult finding something OEM-ish thats a current model when looking for stereos. Its a pioneer BT500 or 600 what ever the red one is as the rest are blue.

Gloss black which goes well with the black LCR console and the ally detail

i got that head unit the other day and it's awesome! very happy with how it works and sounds. had to mess about with the EQ for a bit to get it right, thats the problem with loving music and studying it and knowing to much about how it should all sound. took me a while but sounds awesome!

i've got my ipod in my arm rest as well. nice and tidy!

Yeah I know what you mean as i produce music. Found that 320 MP3's sound fantastic with the OEM speakers but 190 sounds a bit light.

You just need to spray up your centre console, reminids me of what mine looked like at first.

Thats mine, 120Gb headunit in the glovebox for long trips. When im knocking around ive got an 8Gb USB pen plugged in as it loads up quicker. Ive lost my boot to bass too. 6CuFt box fills all but the sides with a pair of 15's sat in there.

no, that amp powers the fronts, its a 4channel bridged into 2. The other amp is feeding the subs with around 400W rms each. Im planning on going down to one sub soon though and giving it 1000Wrms, mainly just experimenting, as i love the lows and wobbles. Hopefully the one sub, having so much air to breathe will give me what im after and i wont loose out on much volume.

thats what iv got,one sub (Alpine Type X) powered by a monoblock amp delivering 1100W RMS. its nicknamed the ballshaker lol.its better than having 2 subs with the power split between them.channel every watt into the one bass emitter and you get BOOM BOOM BOOM *fuse pop*

I've just purchased the Becker Grand Prix.

Has anyone any tips for fitting it myself? Is it tricky? Do I need side spacers to fit the Aura recess?

I have added the ipod connection, is this easy to route to the glove box?

An feedback on position of the microphone too? I was thinking on the right front pillar or nearby. Will it feed into the trim easily to the back of the HU?

Any ideas/advice much appreciated.

Cheers.
