Anyone Tried CG-Locks on their Leons?

I didn't buy mine via the GB, I don't live in the UK.
Any way, I had new springs/dampers fitted and very glad I fitted the CG-Lock a week later, cos I tend to drive a lot more "spirited" these days and the CG-Lock keeps my big body in the seat.
It feels very good to be a little bit better attached to the seat. More confidence, without the crampness of a full race harness.
Only problem is when I take the belt off, I must watch where I toss it, so it don't goes through the window or scrapes up the B-pillar.
When it finally hangs there, it makes a "loop" so I must watch that when I sit down again. This is probably due to me being so big that I need a lot of belt over my thighs.

CG lock is a great little device, they work really well.
Just a little fed up that mine broke within about 3days of getting it - lever and spring etc popped off!

Sorry to heaR THAT. Please return to us at CG-Lock, 1 Deansgate, Manchester, M3 1AZ and we'll replace it... obviously no charge!!
We have had about 10 devices break so far from the 1000's sold... probably put together wrong. Am sorry yours was not right. We have replaced the faulty ones and are looking into the reason.

Absolutely SUPERB customer service. Couldn't ask more from a company. Sent my faulty item back tuesday afternoon, was contacted wednesday about it, and by 9am thursday i've got a replacement in my hand with a complimentary one for my troubles! If only all companies were this good to deal with!

Just got to say though, if you haven't got one yet people, and you're thinking about it, especially if you do trackdays, get on and get one now on the group buy before the 31st! They really are good! (And that's with no prompting from Graham to say that by the way)

it's OK Graham, you sent me two for Donington, which I've duely dispatched to people to review etc & get some pics.
I don't need one - my three point harness will be fine, thanks though!

I know I'm reviving an old thread, but thought this looks like a really good product from a great company.
I would be quite interesting in buying a couple. Is there a forum discount code? Or does anyone want to go for a group buy?
I think most people on here would have one, but then performance car newbies like myself haven't even heard of it until today!

please return it for a free replacement. how did it break? these are used week in week out around the world circuits (including Nurburgring), so should not break!

I think there would be many 100's of drivers who would benefit from being 'at one' with their car... but this thread is not highly visible... can the admin get a wider exposure of the independent review of the product?

yeah I think it's a good idea, and only stumbled across it in someone's signature. I think if more people knew about it they would buy one, and especially with a SCN discount (is there a code to put in when buying it on your website?). Cheers
This product is great, once you have one fitted you will feel almost naked when itting in a car without one. I have two fitted in the front seats of my LCR.
Initially the passengers side one was because we had a young baby and I wanted the safest and most secure ride for him.
The drivers side one is for ME
This opens your eyes to how much you move in your seat when driving. As above you feel more at one with your car and what its doing. You feel more happy about hammering into corners as you know all you have to do is get the car around it not worry about bracing yourself aswell.
The first few times you use it its a wee bit fiddly but very soon it becomes second nature to use it.
I can't see how you could break one of these as they are solid!!
