With the leaving home lights, when you unlock the car, the lights stay on for the set time (this can be changed).

Is this happening?

(PS: Not possible on all cars)

Nope its not. When I unlock the car the lights do not come on. Guess I have one but not the other.

Have you tried it in the dark? I have half an idea that they are linked to a light sensor..

Having said that we turned both options (leaving and coming home) on on mine and it doesn't seem to do anything either..

I don't have a light sensor on the car so that could be the problem but like I said the coming home lights work ok. Oh well like Dan said it could be trial and error to get things working.

Leaving Home Lights
This feature turns on your lights when you unlock the car (if your headlight switch is on). I believe this option is standard if you have the auto lights option. This also adds an option in the MFD lights menu for how long it will stay on.

Module 09 - Cent. Elects.
Coding
Byte 0
Bit 5 - Assistance Driving Light_Leaving Home active

[

Beep when locking/unlocking car (My favourite feature)
This adds a beep when locking the car, and two beeps when unlocknig the car.
Below; horn refers to the beep, and blink refers to the indicators blinking

Module 46 - Central Conv.
Coding
Byte 6
bit 0 unlocking confirmation (blink) via door locks
bit 1 - unlocking confirmation (horn) via door locks - (makes 2 beeps)
bit 2 - unlocking confirmation (blink)via remote control
bit 3- unlocking confirmation (horn) via remote control - (makes two beeps)

Byte 7
bit 0 locking confirmation (blink) via door locks
bit 1 - locking confirmation (horn) via door locks - (makes 1 beep)
bit 2 - locking confirmation (blink)via remote control
bit 3- locking confirmation (horn) via remote control - (makes 1 beep)

Dan - I was hooked up to Vag Com at the weekend, on Module 46 it was claiming Byte 6 & 7 didn't exist and the same problems when trying to turn the Leaving Home feature on - any ideas?

I have a 56 plate 2.0l tdi 140, I also have a vas5052 and have been through the whole process of re-coding the convenience and central electrics and it still just states remote total closure/mirror folding not possible for 2006 cars, also I can't find the setting for the beeping on locking and unlocking(maybe linked) Can anybody out there shed any light or is it an ecu upgrade needed?

Im not too sure as I dont have a clue about the VAS system.

Unsuprisigly, the total closre with the mirrors wont work if its an 06 model car.

I cant see why the setting for the beeping isnt there really though.

Which trim level of car do you have? sport or stylance?

It wont be an ECU upgrade,a s the ECU doesnt control any of these functions. Its the individual control modules; ie convenience module, and central electrics module.

Its a stylance sport with winter pack. And why unsuprisinglly not there the total closure works on the key? In reading the thread dan gb says he has ao 06 with windows that close via remote, I would have thought only a firmware issue? the beep is also a convenience fuction

So its a stylance with sports pack? I thought they only came in on the MY07, as a 'sport' was basically a stylance with a sport pack, which the sport was dropped on 07 MY when the FR came out.
Do you have a date of manufacture?

On 06 model year cars, total closure only works with the windows and not the mirrors.
