Just one legal point, HID's need headlamp washers by law, I was pulled by the plod in the wife's Lupo Gti one night, for having "illegal lights", stupid plod didn't realise that Lupo Gti's have Xenons as standard fit, so I demonstrated the washers all over his leg
I am just about to hit the button as well, bending the reflector thingummy bob looks well dodgy to me, has anyone had to do this with the hids4u kit ?
I also noted the antiglare ones, but am a little concerned anti-glare = anti-bright !! Anyone tried the R bulbs ?
well i'm gonna order them the now so will let u know if they aint that bright...
also gonna go outon a limb and order 5000k aswell as i find some 6000k are too blue for my liking
Our headlights are projector though, so the anti glare won't work, as a presume the original case cover makes them anti-glare anyway.
''NOW AVAILABLE FOR ONLY £10 EXTRA - THE NEW H7R ANTI-GLARE BULBS FOR STANDARD REFLECTOR HEADLIGHTS (Not suitable for Projector type headlights)''
Moley, I have not had an opportunity to take any night shots of the HID's for you, as you have requested of me. But will do as soon as I can. All I can say is that its like daylight in front of you. I think I used that strathy code (or another one), while they had a promotion on at the same time, so ended up getting them for £125
You will also need to get LED sidelights if you have not already, as no filament bulb will match the colour of the HIDs.
These antiglare just dimmer?
ours arent projector......
projector are the ones with the kinda small circle thing.
best way to describe it is look at cupra hids.... thats projectors. ours are just normal.
Oh okay, but still don't really understand the benefit of the anti-glare bulbs against the standard ones they offer?
without stating the obvious mate, i would say....reduced glare?
seriously.... see if u look at some cars that come towards u with aftermarket hids and "normal" headlights... the actual dazzling glare off them is horrific. I'd presume with these bulbs, and i think it does say on the website..that they give the beam a more crisp pattern etc.
Haha, stupid copper, would love to soak him with my headlamp washers.
Im going to get a kit ordered today hopefully, my FR has the convenience and winter packs so it already has the washers fitted in the bumper
Ill let you guys know how I get on and post some finished pics, if I have time Ill do a step by step how to guide and put it on the site
think u may struggle to get the ultimate kit for 125.... the strathy code already gives a good bit off them already.
ok let me get this straight. if we dont call it a feeler then we are not stepping on those forum rules?
we have asked here who was interested and we have not afaik asked any permission in the "feeler" forum
so asking here IS legal????
