Rumor has it that a starting point for the new 1.6 CR-TDI will be 85-95hp with at least 1 or 2 more power outputs along the lines of 105-115hp &/or 115-135hp... Question now is whether or not the Ibiza will be 1st in line unlikely that the Fabia will be it's most likely the Polo yet could be surprised by the A1 coming with this engine mated to a hybrid drive train most likely in the 105-115hp variation...

I'm suprised he hasn't bought a one series yet.

A 123d to be exact, 200bhp and 400nm as standard. And rear-wheel drive also. Especially seeing as THERE ISN'T GOING TO BE A 200BHP TDI IBIZA!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's nothing wrong with cupras. But not everyone wants one. And not everyone wants to read about you banging on about their non cupra cars being crap!

The nicest news there may just prove to be the big 99g/co2 plastered on that Golf!!! Seeing that the current Golf Bluemotion & Seat Leon Ecomotive achieve 119g/co2 & that's from the 1.9TDI with interestingly identical power specs!?!

Oddly enough the Mk6 Golf can currently be speced with the 2.0TDI-110hp producing 128g/co2 or what I can only imagine their pushing as a Bluemotion producing 119g/co2. Yet don't see any use of the Bluemotion name on the Mk6 German configurator... Still more puzzling the 140hp variation only produces 129g/co2 ?!?
I'm looking forward to seeing what a performance tuned 1.6TDI would pump out in the Ibiza FR
/ Fabia vRS!

Actually I think the old Ibiza with a 70bhp 1.4tdi produced more co2 than than the 80bhp version.

Oddly enough the Mk6 Golf can currently be speced with the 2.0TDI-110hp
I,d say the 110bhp 2.0tdi is a bit of a stopgap until the 1.6 comes out, a bit like how the Leon had a 185bhp version of the 2.0tfsi until the FR came out

Had a call today from seat dealership which I ordered a 1.9tdi 105ps SC sport last weekend to let me know the spec of the car has changed and the model that I will be getting is the new 1.6 tdi CR 105ps . I'm going to the dealer tomorrow to sign off the changes to my order so I will get the details and post on here tomorrow.

http://www.carpages.co.uk/seat/seat-ibiza-30-04-09.asp heres an article on it.

I have been told the RRP is £200 above the 1.9tdi 105ps
