Great days racing loved every minute, well done all at Seat  As you can see the hospitality suite was well used, but I think we may need to start charging for dossing down :sleeping:

Just got home - very, very glad the weather wasn't as bad during the races as it was on the M6 on the way back. :scary:

Parking was v.handy for the entrance, just a shame the unhappy-looking steward blokey waved us (and a few others by the look of it) past the obvious group of SEATs.

Great result for SEAT and particularly happy for DT - some great drives today despite the technical problems.

About 400 photos to go through (took about twice that but was deleting the iffy ones as I went along).

From it being one of the best venues for parking, new ownership of Donington seems to have seen it go on the back foot a little sadly. SEAT did their up most for us as they always do, but as long as everyone enjoyed it and the team got the right results. That's what matters. :)

I didn't think it looked particularly busy either for a BTCC race weekend going off the crowds I could see on TV? I certainly didn't think Donington was advertised that much unlike other rounds. Ticketing seemed overly complicated also with surcharges.

I got home a hour ago and am absolutely knackered. Anyway... I think I was only sleeping during one of the formula bore races. Bloody woman keeping me up all night...

Not a criticism at all, I appreciate the effort that goes in to organising the parking. It was just one of those things where a steward thinks they know what's going on but maybe haven't been informed. I ended up just over the other side of the fence from the rest of the guys. Given that it was outfield, everyone being right next to each other wasn't as relevant anyway.

It wasn't all that busy at all - the banking overlooking the Old Hairpin and Starkey's was packed at the top but pretty quiet at the bottom, and the field in front of Starkey's enclosure was almost empty.

Sad to see - I hope it's not an indication that the series is losing fans. :(

I don't think the series is suffering, I personally just think it's been poorly marketed by Donington Park to be honest. Rockingham ran national press and magazine ad's plus ran competitions to win tickets. Not seen Donington do anything like this. Brands Hatch (Motorsport Vision) very proactive with their advertising campaigns also.

A1GP this weekend also probably didn't help tempt the southerners up the M1. Plus TV coverage is also more stable now, being available on Freeview.

I expect busier crowds as the season progresses really.

Just seemed busier last year and the weather was worse? To be fair the other circuits advertise outside their local areas too. MSV advertise Brands even up here.

The racing was excellent though.
