Forgot that I did that quick chop for you Ash.

I had the PD 160 intake and green filter on my Fabia VRS, was louder than standard, but nowhere near what the K&N would be.

You could always modify the bottom of the air box by drilling it, will increase air flow and you can sort of tune the noise you get, again did that on my 3.2 TT sounded awsome!

yeh presumed so, just wondered if it would be more prominent on a petrol.

It'd probably be a bit louder through the exhaust on a petrol tbh.

Mine isnt as easy, being the 1.4. I believe that the airbox is built in to the engine cover, but will look in to it

Will try my best with a meet, going away next month so may have to organise for later on in June.

Ah yeh! They are like a little trumpet coming out the front right of the rocker cover isnt it?

I ordered my green panel filter a week ago today and still not arrived.

Well, tonight, some more goodies arrived!

Green cotton filter and auxillery cable!



Standard filter and green cotton:

Difference in depth between the two:

All fitted and strut brace back on...

Plenty of strut brace/airbox clearance so have no problems what so ever!

And then the auxillary cable:

Fed it from the headunit through the glovebox:

Connect ipod/mp3/laptop! Whatever to it now and it'll play through the headunit!

Cheers bud! I'd tucked a lot of the wire away now. I had it all out in the glove box but now I've folded it up and put it above the glovebox - then put the glovebox back in. Now there's just enough to sort of reach the passenger seat if someone is sat in it.

Before it'd reach to the back seats easy...

Much quieter than the induction kit - tbh I miss the sound of the induction kit. It sounded like a hybrid turbo!

It sucked quite loud and was cool imo!

But yeh it's running nice - seems to have a lot of poke. But then I think that after every mod I do. I think it's cos i must drive it harder subconciously?

i do that lol, especially if i dont drive it for a couple of days i get in and am like 'whoa, its got quicker'
