No point beatin round the bush tho is there. People are always too polite of forums which defeats the object of giving your opinion on things.

I think its always better to be honest

So is it impossible to be polite AND give your honest opinion?

Im sorry but how in god's name can you say it "looks" bad or not very good...

It looks like any other intercooler far better than a laguna which looks a bit like a radioator and it fulls the gap and sits central.

Oh and just for refrence cupra1.8T fitted one of these ages ago and is revo stage 2 with same mods as me and we are dead level.

this is all down to personal preference, i personally went with the laguna one because it has been proved to work and it cost me a third of the price of the forge plus i dont like the look of the forge one, yes the laguna one does look like a radiator but i prefer this look as i like the thought of people guessing what i have under my bonnet as they eat my dust. Im not a fan of the ths one cos its more in your face than the forge one which is not my bag and most importantly it has not been proved to work yet, but im not putting you guys down that if you want to try somethin different, we would not move on in the mod world and all are cars would be the same, its up to you, but if i were to buy my intercooler kit again i would get all the same piping as the laguna one and get a custom one made by forge like myki has as this looks awesome and can be hidden behind mesh if you want because this is the look i like. Personal preference is the key here also with LOOKS, COST, DECENT LOGS

wat the f**k are sum of these guys on, i fink the ths intercoolers look great especially for the cash, tbh i fink all thoses who have spent silly money on forge and real samco are just gutted that "possibly" it may get similar gains for a few hundred quid less, i only say possibly cus like people are arguin there aint no logs but they cud well be surprised, at the end of the day everyone has own tastes and requirements so it dnt really matter what they fink

I also dont run any of the coolers mentioned just like david said in his reply. I paid £360 all in for a fully customised Forge cooler which was made specificly to work well on my car. So anyone who wants a cheaper alternative to the forge kit can get one without breaking the bank so those that want a top quality cooler at rock bottom prices :funk: have more alternatives than laguna (proven) and ths (not proven)

lol, the laguna looks like a rad because it practically is rad core..!

Forge is silly money, anything that fits with lille modification is a compromise. Ive had to do a lot of cuting and shifting and piework to get my cooler to fit,.. but its worth it when you add up the costs, the forge logs arnt even that impressive..

Fast cars are built around fast engines, not the other way around...

ive fitted mine this weekend and ok i know everyone says it pulls harder, it does!!! as soon as i started the car up after fitting insted of my boost gauge reading -0.9 bar on tick over itwas running -0.5 bar so obviosuly this means lag is reduced and turbo will spool up quicker, mite seem like an exageration but i cudnt keep up with my mates mr2 turbo before but now 3rd and 4th gear are quite close, the ths intercooler is very good for the price

You also got to remember that when you fit something new thats supposed to give you that bit extra your always going to be convinced that its working really well even if it isnt. Its a trick of the mind

My inlet feels like a fridge after a good hard drive.. Thats enough proof without the need for the logs..

Yet you sprayed a massive REVO on the cooler?

on the note of going on a custom up prooved intercooler system id stay well away

when i first bought my car i tyryed this, buying a intercooler and making up the pipework, buy a very respectible custom exhust place the make up most of the pipe work and i did more harm that good, it ran better on the standard pipework!!!

so complelty scrapped the idea after trying to sort it out with different ways etc and ended up buying a forge fmic fitted, which i can gaurantee it is well worth the money

as mentioned u have to repect these cars with the way they run and the do what has been proven to work, i love the look of the forge cooler and the pipework is spot on

il be fair the cooler pipework looks neat and tidy and i like the look of it i hope it works for you as it cheap and if it does the job (proven) then alot of people will follow,

(I assume you mean you CAN guarantee it is well worth the money???)

Has nobody STILL been able to produce any logs from this cooler to end the useless ****-flopping that always goes on...

There was some logs, not very long, but showing a marked improvemnt from what i remember.. I have a THS type 2,

Just for the record, if the the car feels better, and pulls harder, and is noticbly quicker, and DOES have lower Inlet Temps, how could it be worse? - inlet temps are down, which means more ignition, which means more go.. Fact..
