I bought some chinese thing off ebay, was about £160

its got virtually everything, 4.3" touch screen, plays movies, bluetooth, TV tuner, but to be honest i'd rather something oem looking like becker so i can leave it in the car.

The main thing about what i got now which i love, is that you can burn MP3's to a DVD rather than a CD.
Do any of these units play DVD mp3's or is it only CD?

On mine you slide the Becker piece across slighlty and the left hand section pops out.

It's best security feature is probably that it lookes very OEM!

I wouldn't really say no thrills.... mine does sat nav, bluetooth, Ipod control, etc

Becker is all about SQ.

You can keep you flashy displays & screens & gumpf give me the SQ of a becker unit anyday of the week.

Although I didnt exactly stick to that rule when I bought my last H/U...Pioneer DEH-P8600MP
Although cant really fault the SQ of that either...very good for a flashy unit
Must get it fitted at some point...gathering far too much dust in the garage at the mo

well im looking for someone that sounds pretty good on standard speakers
has a flip screen and plays mp3's and all that malarky, maybe Bluetooth with phone too and have opporunity to put sat nav telly on it!

I have got to say Becker sounds absolutely quality even on the standard Leon speaker (standard Leon speakers are pretty good imo). I first heard a Becker in Olaf's car and even on low volume sounds so crisp! That's what made me buy one.

a few questions to the owners

1) I want blue tooth, whats the quality like on either end? is the mic external?
2) can you play MP3's off a CD?
3) Where is the cheapest place to get them online ...and how much is the bluetooth model?

If it's any use - Halfords website have reserve in store function, at online prices. Picked up a Pioneer DVD H/U for about £300 less than the in-store RRP. I used to work for Halfords (on Cycles Dept. though!) and have to say some of the H/U we used to sell are actually alright. Ripspeed is awful - through and through. Alloys are only good if you need new wheels for your car on the cheap But yeah - can't knock the website and collect in store option!! Faster than buying online and waiting for delivery.
