I tried LED's in the side lights, but they switch off after a few seconds. The low resistance fools the electrics into thinking it has a bulb out.

You need a resistor in the LED or wiring as per the link above.

I have the Blue Vision style 5W sidelights which are good enough. Hoping to upgrade the dipped lights to H7 HID's soon.

L.E.D Sidelights

I fitted PIAA L.E.D sidelights a couple of months ago. All i had to do was add a new bulbholder in to the feed and earth wiring at each side and fitted the bulb holders in the inner wing panels so at night the engine bay is always lit up when the lights are on. That allows you too add L.E.D lights without the bother of the bulb failure system. Ill try and get some pics on over the weekend. Hope that helps :)

Yeah it is, just got them delivered yesterday and fitted them today. It's a good kit. Had the pilot kit from HIDS4U 2 years ago for my subaru and that was a good kit and its still going strong, so didnt mind paying that wee bit extra.

So crunch time getting car in 2 weeks :) and the dealer has agreed to fitting the bulbs before I pick the car up, I am torn between the Philips Blue vision (with free blue vision side lights) and the Philips Diamond Vision.

What do you reckon? From a bargain potential the blue vision are a better deal???? Need to order this weekend.

I think the blue visions are great. You get a nice white light and a better beam on the road.Had them on my last few cars.

I used sides, dipped and main. You get free sides with the dipped and main but that will give you a spare set.

I usually get them from autobulbsdirect. Fast delivery and good prices.
