Dirty!

Wimpey are still going? Blimey, thought they were long gone..

Any problems getting it on the towing arms? Been with a lowered car when it needed to be towed and they couldn't get it on the tow arms.. doh!

Well myself and a few others had to lift the front arches to get it on, nothing major.

Should hopefully be fixed today. Im pissed off though as i wanted to go to the chesterfield meet.

Oh and just to clairfy (as i know you are all in suspense), Wimpy is open at Tibshelf Services!!

brilliant. nice one!

... i've got an account with barclays, and they gave me comprehensive rac cover along with all sorts of goddies for something like £14.50 a month. (normally i'd tell them where to go, but i think i was drunk!)

Ouch!! Is that the all singing all dancing cover? Really lucky, cos every year my dad just hands over my mums rac card as she doesn't really go very far so when need be i ring up n pretend to be her....naughty but has served me very well....i think they wonder why though there's a 60yrold piling around invarious bright green gti's for the last 10yrs;) never question it though, thank god!

As for Wimpy there's one still in Streatham for the South London brigade, very good it is too, their burger sauce is legend!!!

Hope you get her sorted, just outta curiousity, the lowered factor of not being able to get her on the truck, assume if you got coilies you'd just jack her back up to 4x4height in such instance???? Plus point for coilies i guess if so...:D

this is what we have, the breakdown cover is part of the whole additions account.mines only a 5iver if i stay in credit, theres legal cover for loss or theft of cards goods etc with it.so its not too bad.

oh and we used the travel insurance for our wedding last year too,not much more and covered all 4 of us.

oh oh got the car recovered from home to my dealership too,so the coverage is full monty too ;)

At least you managed to get yours onto a truck, when my pedal box went i couldnt get mines on!

had to use the towing bar and its made a right phunk up of my middle grille between the fogs.

I'm sure you'll get it fixed no problems though.

I think it was £100 because i was at the road side, and to be fair, they can charge what they like in that sort of situation.

As for getting it on the towing arms, i helpful chap with a silver mk3 cupra helped me lift the arches up as it was getting pulled on. The spiltter would have scraped other ways.

Oh, and the AA guy didn't comment on my wheels, he was too busy feeding me bullshit like "yeah i had a escort cossie once. I put 50k into the engine and 22k worth of ICE in it"

Oh and i managed to get the linkage sorted for nothing. The bolt had snapped so just replaced the bolt and hay-presto.

If I got a pound for every time I had that story told to me. Seems that everyone has owned a cossie and spent ££££££ on it,lol
