Your options are a replacement OE clutch and drive it properly or an uprated aftermarket one such as one from Sachs or similar. Pretty sure this has been discussed in the past, so do a little search for it.

I'm gutted like!! Yeah I'm going to drive it proper granny style. Ad, you mentioned about a sachs clutch before, whats the craic with that? Its only just started slipping.....how long will it last, taking it easy? I've had no past experience with clutch slipping!

I have a sachs and a very powerful map running 450nm of torque and the sachs copes fine...good bit of kit. Some say its exensive but at least it means you can drive your car how it should be driven!!!

IMO it's no good remapping a 130/160 tdi and then needing to baby it at low revs, low rev range torque is what TDI's are all about

Ive done 45k on a slipping clutch, an no I havent granny'd it. just not floored it below 2500-2700. Its fine for the rest of the rev range... just not the torque spike at the start.

Cheers lads I've emailed JBS, so I will hopefully make some head way! I'm leaving it till the last minute like! Dift, I'll try and see what it's like flooring it in the higher range 2500-2700rpm see if it slips then! Cheers! :)

by all accounts Angel push there maps quite a bit... not that thats a bad thing. But even with it turned down, would it be all that much different from a standard map?

But its only at 280 odd lbs/ft I thought it would have lasted longer than this. I haven't used it all weekend I'm too scared! Could the clutch just stop working at any given moment?

^^^^no, it will just slip more and more and start to smell like dog farts until you can't use any power at all and just slowly becomes undrivable
