Thought I would share some of what I have been doing to my 1.9 TDI 110 Leon. Engine has done 106k, so nicely run in!!
The first mod was to fit a tuning box, which I got from Abrieb Chiptuning in Germany for @ 80 €!! Gave a fantastic improvement over stock. Put it this way, I gave a Volvo D5 a run for it's money! But gave a good smoke screen as well .
So I have now also fitted a DieselPower® TPC turbo pressure controller from JS performance in Canada (good exchange rate ) I've only got it on setting 1 at the mo, which gives a steady state boost pressure of 16-17psi. I now have less smoke, and a bit more mid and high end grunt...lovely.
Estimated power is 143hp, but I need to get it on the local dyno (Castle Combe) for proper test.
3rd mod is an oil catch tank. When I took off the lower turbo pipe off the intercooler there was quite a bit of oil which I imagine has been sucked through from the rocker-cover breather, so I have fitted a catch tank and pipework, but it's no vented to outside....
Next mod will either be a set of 17" or 18" alloys, preferably LCR type, or an Allard cooler.
