That's what I meant about common sense. A really picky tester may have failed the LED sidelights but this guy recognised it as a minor point. For the record, I despise blue sidelights as much as the next VOSA employee. Every other chav-wagon around here seems to have them fitted though. I don't even understand why people think they look good!

They are sad! I remember when I was 19 and put coloured ones in my pug 306 which changed colour and went through the rainbow:cry:

If the really picky tester failed the car for that then the owner has grounds to appeal against the decision. Its not that long to get the appeal sorted either and if it where me carrying out the appeal test then I would go with the owner.

Alot of people do not realise that if they are not happy with the decision of a MOT tester they can appeal against it, whether its a PASS or FAIL.

Which Toyota are you at? Not heard of Tipton Garage yet. I work for VOSA as a Vehicle Examiner.

Change the recirc valve first, you'll feel the difference straight away. If you only have a few quid at the moment go for the S2000 aerial change and mark 5 VW rear wiper arm and blade. Cheap and easy to do mods.

If your going for the HIDS like most people on here then get the 4300k as the 6000k in my opinion are a little to blue.

I work for Marsh toyota on marsh barton.

I am not really bothered about the money. What kind of valve would you recommend? and where is the best place to get it?

I don't really want to change the look of the car i.e body kits etc. But i want to make it more individual.

I am terrible this is my 6th car this year because i couldn't find one that i liked enough but i have just found it. Although next year prob go up to the LCR.

I had the Corolla Tsport before my LCR, loved the noise! Got a friend in Plymouth Marsh who's a tech and I also know the the service manager in Paignton, he's got a LCR aswell.

No DO NOT put a body kit on, don't need it. Forge 007 recirc is the best around £90-£100ish. Carl Sorenson from down here in Plymouth is a dealer in forge and offers a lifetime warranty with the 007.

Like I said the only things ive done is change the the aerial and rearwiper as the standard ones look s**t. These mods are individual and look good.

Don't worry i have no intention of putting a body kit on it. The only thing i might change is the alloys because not a massive fan of the standard ones.

Ok cool thanks for the advice. Will def look in to it. You don't happen to have the guys number?
