i was thinking about relocating it to down by the traction control switch

but seeing as i thank people with a left/right/left flash i havent bothered yet.

no doubt one my car is out of the bodyshop we will catch up again for a bit of a mini photoshot ad's

yep.. its a direct fit part

the only major work is cutting out the little tray part of the consol

yep was an ebay buy.. paid around 100quid... was a bit of a bidding frenzy between a few of us lol

well i fitted the armrest last night...

not overly impressed with it if im being honest.. need to get the lid re-covered in black leather to match the new interior
and the side plastics that cover the stand dont fit (too long)

Strange... I fitted a Mk4 Golf one into my Toledo and it was a good fit. Could you maybe trim the hole the side plastics sit in to push it in further?

bugger - you have to cut the console to get it in too?? is the gap something the bodyshop could sort out with a cheeky bit of fibreglassing?

yep had to cut the consol to fit it.. im going to see if i can get shorter plastic side trims from vw before i hack at the consol anymore lol

fibreglass could be an option but that means having it in there perminantly.

cheers andy.. im really happy with the interior. the car has had 2 head units within this thread... i had a pioneer then went to the LG, decided i didnt like the LG and put my pioneer back in lol

which one where you meaning pioneer or lg?
