Hi guys, my first post her...

I'm planning to come LCR 225 owner and i will do remap because it really give extra bhp. But for exhaust replacing i'm not so sure...
I did search here and found out that some of you think standard exhaust is enough to 300bhp so it's not worth replacing and some say it should be replaced. So does anyone have dyno chart for remapped LCR before and after exhaust replacing?

Also does exhaust manufacturers (milltek, piper...) have EC approval for their parts?

I would say if your car were brand new then wait a while.
I think I've had my moneys worth out of the factory exhaust.
But now running stage 2 revo and all the other bits it's a must.
If your going to remap etc and shove more air & petrol in and expect the car to burn it faster, then give it a chance by giving it a decent zorst to let gas out.
Plus...in theory the aftermarket zorsts are lighter and better quality materials and smoother gas flow which all helps.

I agree with the points above...

My LCR is just over 2 years old and I'm planning a stage 2 remap, which is why I've gone for a full turbo back Piper system.

The standard exhaust has a lot of restrictions... where aftermarket exhausts are mandrell (sp?) bent (the diameter remains the same throughout) the standard system is quite heavily squashed on the bends.

When I had my full Piper system fitted the other day, I asked to keep my old system (will probably re-fit it when I sell the car). When I was lifting it out of the car, I was really suprised at how heavy it is! I'd guess the standard cat back weighs about as much as the full turbo back Piper system

With the Piper exhaust, I find it's a lot more free revving, and low down pull is much improved. May be coincidental with cold/damp roads, but the TCS is working overtime on hard acceleration now :p

Also, the exhaust tip looks so much better than the standard one, and the deep burble at tick over and the roar on full boot sounds awesome! ;)

In that case, would it fit an LC, and would it make any difeerence, or would it just be easier to go aftermarket? Just thinking out loud as lots of people must have LCR exhausts hanging around ;)

The lcr downpipe wouldn’t fit the ko3s turbo!
