The split r does sound way diferent to the turbosmart one imo. As for faults on them id say your just as likely to get a fault with the split r as you are with the turbosmart one
The 007p is fine to be fitted upside down
This will give a slight bit more noise too
The SplitR valve does need to be set up to the letter
All cars are different and just because one took 16 clicks does not mean that all of them do

Hi
Let us know how you get on with it and what they did to cure it
A couple have said it is tricky
Sarah
Hi
But my son fitted one and he said it was easy and it sounds "Awesome"
Yes will do, sarah, Ill post on thursday with the verdict and what happened
Hey Myki...I set my Splitr the way you said...closed it completely and turned it back 16 clicks (counter clockwise) ...the sound is fine however really only properly heard with windows closed. I presume this is because the dump nossle is facing and is therefore closest to the driver (me) Therefore I am gonna move it to front, thus cold part of engine.
However I feel that it is releasing the air too slowly, meaning a long pssssssssssh. When I first mounted it (after you told me it was installed other way around) I set the valve exactly opisite clicks than it is now (completely open then 16 clicks back) Then it was releasing the air too quickly and I was losing boost. However it was a short psssh. Does this mean I have to close it a bit more so that I get the ideal combination between boost and pssh?
Thanx
By the way can anyone tell me how to post pictures?
