The 007p is fine to be fitted upside down
This will give a slight bit more noise too

The SplitR valve does need to be set up to the letter
All cars are different and just because one took 16 clicks does not mean that all of them do

Ive tried all clicks and both ways of fitting and its chatter or nothing. Im sure forge will sort it out when they see it tommorow. It could be that my split r is faulty?

Either way im sure it will be sorted tommoz.

Let us know how you get on with it and what they did to cure it
A couple have said it is tricky
But my son fitted one and he said it was easy and it sounds "Awesome" ;) sorry for the pun ;)

I would say chatter through the air filter is pretty normal as chatter is always there but the noise is blocked by the standard parts so when u upgrade it enhances the noise thats all.

But im no expert so maybe wrong lol

Hey Myki...I set my Splitr the way you said...closed it completely and turned it back 16 clicks (counter clockwise) ...the sound is fine however really only properly heard with windows closed. I presume this is because the dump nossle is facing and is therefore closest to the driver (me) :D Therefore I am gonna move it to front, thus cold part of engine.
However I feel that it is releasing the air too slowly, meaning a long pssssssssssh. When I first mounted it (after you told me it was installed other way around) I set the valve exactly opisite clicks than it is now (completely open then 16 clicks back) Then it was releasing the air too quickly and I was losing boost. However it was a short psssh. Does this mean I have to close it a bit more so that I get the ideal combination between boost and pssh?

Thanx

Ok ok update.

Took my car to forge and had the Front mount intercooler fitted. They fettled about with the dumpvalve. It turns out that it doesnt matter what way you fit the split r, ive currently got my one fitted the 'wrong' way round.

On getting the sound make sure that the valve opens properly when revving. Mine sounds quieter inside the car but outside it now sounds spot on. A lovely loud spool up sound and the dump valve just whooshes really crisp now.

I will get some pics at the weekend & hopefully some sound clips to show.

Oh and I didnt get the relocation kit:(

16 clicks is just a base to work from. All cars are diferent so split r works perfectly at diferent amounts of clicks depending on the car. I would suggest turning it a couple more clicks anti clockwise and test it by revving it after each click

By the way can anyone tell me how to post pictures?

I use photobucket if im posting my pictures of my car. I host them on photobucket and then copy the image tags from there and paste them on here. Its easy.

If you dont have one sign up now, photobucket.com its free.

If your posting pictures from the internet click the image tab on here and enter the URL into it and it will bring up.
