Throttle Body - UPDATE WITH PHOTOS

Just taken mine off to clean it (in my lunch break ) and i notice its coolant fed.

A common mod on the corsa 1.6 16v/1.4 16v is to connect the 2 coolant pipes to divert the flow. This means you dont have warm water heating up your TB and intake air. Anyone do this on their ibiza?

When i put it back together i will take a photo for you ;)

These 2 brass joiners used to feed hot water into my throttle body...

Telford ay it...
Pretty positive my 2E didnt have this kind of arrangement. So theres actually a coolant hose running into it? Must be a small dia. pipe.

Only hose that goes into the ABF tb is the oil breather and there is a small dia pipe but that goes to the standard air box!

Dim coolant hose!

YEh i have the two pipes on my Agg TB. Will it affect the engine at all if you connect the two pipes? I dont want reliability issues

You may find that your cold idle will be all over the place, the throttle Body on your can has a 'stepper motor' which controls idle and the coolant pipes go into that I think.

The ABF throttle Body doesn't have coolants pipes going to it.

So its purpose is for cold idling? Am i correct in thinking theres no ISV on an AGG engine then? You learn somethin new every day :)

On that photo...

Follow the top right radiator hose to the coolant flange (bolted to the head). A smaller pipe comes off the flange from the right. This goes up to the throttle body, circulates around then exits up to the top of the expansion tank.

Mine goes from the flange straight to the bottle :)

Sorry i havn't put pics up yet
