Well the biggest drive I've had was Brighton to Aberdeen in one go....
14 hours!!
7 hours just to get to Bristol!!
Anyway the only problems I had was a bit of leg cramp due to having the accelerator in the same position for long time, a numb butt and seriously tired (nothing to do with the car)
But all in all this was the end of a round Britian trip and we (wife and me) both found the car very pleasurable to drive. Our trip took us from
Aberdeen to Glasgow
Glasgow to Chipping Camden
Chipping Camden to St Austell (Cornwallshire)
St Austell to Portsmouth
Portsmouth to Brighton
THEN the biggy
Brighton to Aberdeen

From memory this trip was 2,000 + miles and was when the car had 10,000 miles on it and was seriously loving the car after that:)

Surrey darling...
I recently covered 1100 miles in 3 days in my LCR and was impressed at how good it is on long distance... very comfortable, fantastic pace and I didn't feel fatigued after several hours in the hot seat!

As for passengers - front passenger should be as comfortable as you are and the ones in the back can sod off for all I care... they should just be happy they got a lift at all

The ride on mine is a veritable nightmare - For my pregant partner at any rate. But we live in a village and the road surfacing is, well, interesting to say the least - it's not a problem for me, but she doesn't like it. Her T Reg Audi is just perfect on these roads (not so great for "sporty" driving....)

The harsh ride means that the Leon's going to have to go soon :-( Again

How old is ur leon? mines a 52 plate, does anyone know how to check to see if the suspension is going or the brushes need replacing?? or what are the effects of bad suspention would it be a harsh ride?

Wasn't to bad today to work suppose (change my name to moaning mini lol)

some may say lala land....
I love mine and have done 22k in 14 months.
Regular trips to oxford to see girlfriend and drink with mates. road noise is normally tyre pattern - different tyres make different amounts of noise.
Seats are fine for a good blast or a long cruise, yet to feel stiff or uncomfortable.
Had 3 in back once and they said was a little cramp bu ok for short, (50mile) trip but no more.

@allh2k - no idea how you check. I know years ago if you jumped up and down on wing (nopt literally folks) and car kept going up and down when you let go, possible sloppy but if settled very quick all ok. Bushes - normally on road side aren't they!!

Road noise can be attributed to many things. Certain surfaces, certain tyre patterns, softness/hardness etc. It's all relative.

I've done Clacton to Devon to Clacton about 6 times since getting my LC and my passengers never complained abotu noise or any comfort issues. It's quite a good cruiser, really.. 6th gear cuts down on engine noise and offers that little bit extra MPG.

Interior is quiet and comfortable.. one of the many reasons why I'm a big fan of this VW-SEAT car.

What tyres do you have fitted? (Thinking along the whole road-noise vein here...).

Suspension's ok - it handles nicely enough. I've got Goodyear Eagle F1s on too.

I think it's a combination of dodgy roads (country and concrete (M180 and A180)) and a hard ride. In any case, the boot's just not big enough for 2 kids, GF and all their paraphenalia....

Granted the LCR is not the long distance leisurely cruiser that my Toledo V5 was, but I am still impressed with the Leon as a decent motorway car.
Cant say it gives me any trouble; seats everso comfortable, noise is minimal, everything works with nice touches and an expensive audi-esque feel... cant think how an Astra would be better in any category other than fuel consumption.

No
Sorry I'm not
Decided it wasn't a good idea to go up the M1 as there were loads of road works
Little did I know thw M42 (i think it was) was just as bad

err....to the best of my knowledge the m42 skirts round the outside of brumingham, its not exactly a choice between that and the m1!
