erm, Haynes manual showed me! It was a while back when I did mine - if I remember rightly, it's really easy to get at - gearbox is on the right of the engine as you look at it - the switch is located slightly towards the rear of it & you'll notice it has a wire coming from it. Like I said, it just unscrews (with a spanner) - if you have a nosey, you'll spot it. Failing that though, have a look in the Haynes manual (libraries have 'em if you've not got one). Unless someone on here can explain it better than me?

if you do what i said and bypass the switch witht he wire looped in to it and your reverse light becomes constantly on then its the switch mate, it could be faulty and work sometimes. Like i said £9 to replace and a five min job

before you delve into the engine bay you may want to have a butchers at the bulb holder for the reverse light coz if its crudded up it wont get a contact and make the bulb not work.

i doubt its the bulb, you would be unlucky for both sides to go at the same time!!. Honestly it took me 1 minute to find the lead in the engine and test it how i have said above. Check bulbs if you like up to you but if both sides have gone then id check electrical system!!!!!!
