Window regulator

I hope someone can offer me some help here...

I have had the dredded window regulator plastic clip failure. In the dark and in the rain for maximum effect!!

I have spoken to the stealer and they will only sell me the carrier not a repair kit.
When I asked about a repair kit I was told that the only kit was for a mk4 golf and that it wouldn't fit!
Is this right?

Im sure i can answer your question but my window has been held up by some folded paper for the past 2 weeks because of this fault!!

so if anyone does know whether this repair kit can be used on a tolly it would be much appreciated

yes it can be used. simple as. order the golf part , they should be metal instead of plastic

I had the same problem and bought a new regulator kit from ebay.
Original part and it solved the problem

Just send them an email advising what side you require. I presume thatthe price is cheaper than the stealers.

I have got hold of a golf kit from the VW stealers and it doesn't fit
There is a very subtle difference between the parts. It does almost fit!

The kit that you have linked to here doti is different to the one I got from the VW stealer. Has the kit you used got the updated metal components?
