Leon armrest fitted!

Just fitted one of these armrests today and also got the 3rd bolt from VW.

Pretty happy with it, looks good and is quite comfy too!

Only niggle is it does get in the way of the handbrake a bit... But i can live with that!

Been meaning to look into these for a while but wasn't sure how it would fit in with the rest of the LCR trim.

Got a couple of questions that I haven't been able to find answers too, hope somebody in the know may be able to help;

1)Were arm rests an additional feature on the LCR (03)?
2)If so, were the the same as the arm rests in the above links? or did they come with red stitching, like the seats?
3)Does anybody who has fitted one of these have pics so I could see what it looks like against the rest of the interior?

Sorry if these questions have already been raised, but I've had a look around and cant seem to find the info anywhere.

p.s. as a temporary solution, i use a 200 capacity cd case wedged between the drivers seat and handbrake. Does the job for those long motorway journeys, but i think the proper job would look just a little bit better!

3. If its black it should be fine, the cloth on the seat is diff from the door cards so it must match one of them!

I do miss my arm rest, one of the thinigs i loved about my MK4 Golf!

sunilbass, did the dealers allow you to order over the phone or did you have to go the the dealers pay for the item and then return to collect it?

Just phoned my nearest SEAT dealer (Barlow Motors, Wolverhampton) and was told they couldn't order any parts unless i came and paid in advance. Even offered to give payment over the phone, but nope, apparently i have to find time to go over there, pay for the order, then go back to collect it when its in stock. WFT?

Now i know why i only ever serviced my car there the once, their service is

Sorry for the rant, but the parts guy on the end of the phone seemed like he had no interest in my business what so ever

Just got off the phone to Colliers SEAT in Birmingham and they were more than helpfull. They have one available and have even put my name on it until I can collect it on Saturday.

na i went there in person! i wanted to find out if it came with all the bits etc (which it did!) yea i had to pay in full before the order was processed and it seams a bit bizarre that they wont take payment over the phone!

J i've had that a few times before, if your ordering something which they won't need at one point they won't just do it, they'll ask for payment!

They did have a specific part number for an armrest for the LCR but they don't make them anymore. I never saw one but i assume the were finished in the same style as the seats.
